I know I'm a bit late on this one, but here's our first look at Robert Kazinsky as Orgrim Doomhammer from the upcoming Warcraft movie.
Kazinsky's character is actually a CGI model designed by Industrial Light and Magic who made a composite of Blizzard's concept art and scans of the actor.
This is likely going to be one of the most realistic CGI characters ever, and that has me excited.
I'm a long-time fan of the Warcraft series, and I cannot wait to see this film in June 2016.
What are your opinions on the Warcraft film and the new picture of Orgrim?

looks amazing, I have no idea what the background story is so gonna start doing some research

Grab a shovel. That hole not deep enough. I actually look forward to seeing the SM movie. Ordered it from Amazon. Waited ten days for it to arrive from CONUS. Was a questionable decision for me to remain alive after that. Live rounds and all. I just drank water and took two motrin. Case it came in though was pretty cool though I still felt I was robbed for over an hour of my life

This has a budget in excess of 100 million, and its using that money to bring in ILM to make best ever quality CGI modelling. That won't make for a good movie necessarily, but it does make it a lot more likely than Space Marine ever had - which was a $10 million budget, handed over to an animation company that had previously only made commercials.

It's an intriguing effect. Never got into the Warcraft world beyond the RTS games, so only so interested in this. Will wait for the reviews.

I'm guessing that since King Llane is appearing in the film as a major character, the film is going to be centered around the First War (as portrayed in the original Warcraft)
The film seems to be centered around the Humans vs. Orcs conflict and Gul'dan's betrayal at the hands of Doomhammer.
I'm really excited to see this story play out on screen.

Looks good, but I'm not expecting this to have a story worth watching, because hollywood. Doesn't mean I won't watch it though

I'm looking forward to it. I didn't really play Warcraft one so the outside of the rando lore in WC2/WC3 and WoW I know pretty much nothing about it but enough that I'm interested in seeing it played out.

I love the Warcraft world so I was pretty sold already but the CGI looks great in this case.

LOL dammit Ron Perlman popped in my mind. Time to watch Hellboy

Pretty good looking. If they make it anywhere near as realistic as the recent planet of the apes movie, they'll be on to a winner character-wise anways.
Then comes down to what plot line or story they decide to tell.

From a warcraft PoV this looks like it will be the story from Warcraft 1.

Rough timeline:

*Bunch of creationisim crap happens, titans, gods, all that. One goes bad, becomes Sargeras. He is eventually defeated and his dead essense is traped on Azeroth (earth, human planet)
*He corrupts a highly evolved race into demons and begins influencing races which hop between planets via portals.
*Eventually they invade Draenor which is where the Orcs live. He finds what he needs to finally get a portal to 'Azeroth'

This is where Orgrim Doomhammer comes in as leader of the orc Horde.

Warcraft 1: Orcs open portal to Azeroth, come through, wreck up the joint.
Warcraft 2: Humans push back and drive orcs back into the portal. Humans push through into the dark portal to really kick the gak out of the orcs, and the portal is destroyed stranding some of the orcs on Azeroth. Orgrim is stranded on Azeroth, and the orcs all get sent to concentration camps and all hope is lost.

There is an un-made game which is recreated from a sands of time mission where basically Thrall, a young orc raised on Azeroth is given doomhammer from Orgrim and becomes the new head of the horde.

Warcraft 3 then happens... and WOW and all the other crap.

So basically the only aspects which would center around Orgrim Doomhammer would be the parts of where they invade Azeroth and the subsequent defeat. So I assume the Movie will be straight up the lore from Warcraft 1 and 2.

It is actually a really good lore for people who are familiar... Warcraft 3's storyline really brought things into its own and Thrall and Arthas are fantastic characters.

HigH Elves were a thing until Arthas killed the sunwell in WC3... So it really isn't even until WC2 before the elves join the alliance.

I suspect this movie will be straight up Orcs pouring out of the portal to fight stormwind humans. The elves were so far away from the destruction, everyone up north basically didn't give a fudge.

The thing is, they made the orcs look sympathetic by giving them real traits because the orcs were not evil... the Orcs got exploited and kinda given a raw deal because they were first screwed by the Ogres which invaded their planet. A lot of that is covered with the current WOW expansion where you see it is a battle for the Orc's soul... Fight for survival and honor or fight to conquer and rule. If they do a good job, I really would love to see the entire lore put into movies. They could easily fill 6 LotR movies with interesting story.

The closeup looks a lot better now.

I think the image looks fantastic. And Warcraft 1 and 2 were some of the best things Blizzard ever made! I'm close to drooling with anticipation.

I will say that I truly still love Warcraft lore. From the WC's up to pretty much Wrath of the Liche King in World of Warcraft (if you could just drop the Draenai Spaceship stuff). There is a ton they could do there. The equivalent of WC1 and 2 could easily be a trilogy on it's own. WC3 could pretty easily be another trilogy without stretching. I'm excited and hope it does well. Cast seems solid.

I don't know much about Warcraft's lore, but I will see this movie anyway if all the CGI is so good. That looks awesome, and I love fantasy settings anyway.
