Have you (accidentally) kneeled whilst playing AoS, thus costing you the game?
(What happens if you're playing AoS and Loki/Zod forces you to kneel?)

Settra would NEVER kneel before Zod

It only effects the game if you are using Settra the Imperishable (Tomb Kings character).

If the player with Settra kneels they automatically lose the game because Settra does not kneel!

I'd pay someone a soda to come up behind the settra player quietly and untie their shoe, and then casually mention it during the game.

For some reason, I find the whole kneeling thing kind of cool, despite potentially turning the game into, "Twisterhammer," if this gets out of hand.

Great! so they've turned warhammer not only into a joke but into a childrens birthday party game. Totally done, going to a game thats still got some dignity in itself.

Lucky for me I had no models I was just about to get back into fantasy and buy myself some Dwarf models when the end times went down so I held off till I found out what was happening next.
Now I'll probably just put my money into a different system like warmachine or something.

Beeccaauusee Ive played fantasy before for quite a while on off over the past few years as well as 40k. I switched over to 40k exclusively around 2 years ago and was coming back.
"im done" as in im done with fantasy from now on for good, no coming back.

The rule is both real and a joke.
All the silly rules are jokes, that's kind of their point.

Also Settra's shouldn't have much of an effect on the game, if any, since instead of kneeling you can squat or bend over... I'd of thought that besides the Skaven "on a 13 you win and are labeled a cheater" rule, Settra's would be the least detestable.

It's only the old models with silly rules. it has been confirmed by a GW Rep at Warhammer world that the new models will not have such rules.

you guys that don't like the sound of this silly OPTIONAL rule get that you don't have to use it, right???

if you take Setra as your general, you get a +1 to hit with your Deathrattlers if you hold out your hand and say "war" in a commanding tone...
if you choose to use this rule to gain the bonus, then you may not kneel at any time during the game, or you lose the battle, as Setra kneels to no man...

silly, but completely optional...
how badly do you want those bonuses???

in my opinion, all of these optional rules are a nod to the silliness that has been a part of GW games from the very beginning...

By the way, I am kidding. I can't understand why people are so upset with these rules. If I remember correctly this was how Warhammer was about 20 or so years ago. Silly but fun. If anything I thought this was just a homage to an older edition, just like how the Logo looks like it's from the 80's. It's old school.

As Jah said, it's optional. Don't like it, don't play it. Just have fun. If this is not your fun, then move onto something else that it is fun. For others this is fun so why ruin it for them?
