My first two suggestions would be to thin your paints, that way it won't clump up and obscure any detail. Secondly to use washes to help bring out some of those details. Otherwise I like how you are going with the pre heresy dark angels color scheme.

Finished up my Librarian, haven't done the face yet as haven't got the paints for it!

Bit of thinning as mentioned above will work wonders for you here.
When you thin your paints and apply them in multiple coats, you get a much smoother and more consistent finish. It takes a bit more patience, but the results are worth it.
You've also got some mold lines still on them models. I'm a bit guilty of this myself, but taking the time to clean all the flashing away with a craft knife will make the finished product look a lot better.
Otherwise though, great start, nice colour scheme. Really liking the red robes on the libby.
