Not exactly new but the Excalibur upgrade is just amazing. In afghanistan HIMARS were reclassified as DF weapons because of their incredible accuracy. With this new technology the most basic form of IDF may very well be reclassified as DF as well. btw these definitions have less to do with their ballistic trajectory and more to do with their inherent accuracy.

Dangit marine, lift with your knees not your back! Don't think I don't see you using improper lifting techniques on that shell! (how heavy are modern artillery rounds anyway...)

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

Except for the Serbia war, which did. America (HURR!), Britain and NATO delivered freedom to the Kosovans from 35,000 feet.

Brings them to the table to talk.
Besides how else Putin got ahold of a F117
Edit
But the real selling point of the M777? The "Lightweight" part. It weighs just 9,800 pounds, meaning it can be towed into the battlefield via a variety of helicopters, from the MV-22 Osprey to the larger CH-47 Chinook, and can be set up for firing within 3 minutes. Contrast this to the M198, which came in at 15,772 pounds, could only be moved by the lumbering CH-47 Chinook, and took almost 10 minutes to be ready for action.
Gun Raid capable. Anyone familiar with that concept? If so this upscale the scales heavily scaling towards our side.

Not familiar with that concept, but I would like to know more.
I am at work so I don't want to Google "Gun Raid" as that will likely result in a trip to HR.
This like a boring video of it
What happens is a Battery (six tubes) is sling loaded into an area and under three minutes the Battery is up and firing. Under 15 minutes redo all the sling loads and repeat the process somewhere else. Its a "Gun Raid".

it means that if you have air superiority you can put artillery batteries around the AO and drop ordinance onto enemy positions without having to put your aircraft at risk of Anti-aircraft fire. And if the position becomes untenable you can quickly pack it up and off you go to a new position. Your basically out maneuvering your enemy with what used to be considered one of the least mobile elements of an army.
