Subject: Twitch plays Dark Souls. This should be be good...*UPDATE: ORNSTEIN AND SMOUGH KILLED
EDIT: Twitch has modified the format for 'Twitch plays Dark Souls.' Now, the game pauses every few seconds, and the gamers all vote on what the next action should be. It looks a little painful to watch, but this is the only way they are going to make any progress for sure.
The Asylum Demon has been killed since the change. I will try to keep up with posting boss fights. The videos are edited by users to remove the pauses while the players vote, so you just see the fight itself.
No way that can work. Pokemon worked because it was a game where you couldn't really fail totality and you weren't on a time requirement. With dark souls, they will never make it out of the tutorial.

Yeah, that just cannot work. It works for turn-based games like Pokemon, but Dark Souls require fast reactions that just cannot be done with Twitch and its huge delay.
Let's be nice and say they get places. Once they hit Ornstein and Smough it's not going to work. Those two are still though even after figuring out how to kill them.

I'd watch but as a masterful Triple-Platinum-Souls-Trophy-Holder it would hurt my brain watch noobs fail and not be able to scream GIT GUD SCRUB!
Joking. But still, I don't think I could watch without groaning at every little mistake because of how instinctive I would find playing it. Don't know why, but when I see people playing a game and missing things or doing it wrong, it makes me cringe. Or worse, if they miss something obvious. I was there once, obviously, but its like a gut reaction.
I'm celebrating 8 years on Dakka Dakka!
