Quick apology for the pictures being huge and not tip top quality.

These are the two figures I made as cadre fireblades. I Felt like the actual model looked quite derpy and his face just seems... off.. I also like the idea of possibly running more than one fireblade, so having the same mono-pose model twice just seems off. I figured I'd go go around this by making my own models. I tried to make them distinct from fire warriors whilst still being similar enough. I gave them two shoulder pads because it makes them stand out from a normal fire warrior whilst also making them look more armored up. I tried to give them both some sort of "blade" to make them stand out from standard infantry as well whilst fitting the whole "fireblade" look.

Anyways, the big question is weather or not you'd consider these acceptable in your match as stand ins for the standard GW model.

I'd paint some white stripes on him to make him stand out more but otherwise I don't see why not. I am sure Cadre Fireblades vary in appearance according to the taste of the individual in question like officers in other 40k armies.

Honestly, I was expecting a much weirder question based on the models.

As it stands, yea, both look pretty much spot on for what you're trying to convey, as long as the rest of your Fire Warriors aren't as over the top.

I mean after all, isn't the Fireblade Cadre just a Fire Warrior who was offered a promotion and declined it because he/she believed they were better suited to be a Fire Warrior than anything else? So yea, it makes sense they'd have the most flare on their gear and be a little over the top as they are long standing veterans. More so, in theory they're still supposed to look like Fire Warriors (which their base model does in a way) so yea, those models work fine as they fill the fluff and most likely can be identified easily in a squad of normal Fire Warriors.

I see no problem. He isnt massively over/undersized. He looks distinctive (important for an IC). On top of all of that he looks good. 10/10 would smash with Choppa

Hell no I wouldn't. I'd hate the thought of killing them and making you take them off the table!

But seriously yes of course, I much prefer your versions to the GW version.

I see no reason why not, a fireblade is just a fancy fire warrior, I made made out of Fire warror bits + tank commander bits. Also, way to not help shake the anime fan stereotype buddy!

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

Perfectly reasonable conversions. Whats the issue here? Have opponents refused to play you with them?

I'd be fine with it. A crest or something on the helmet feels necessary, but that's being really harsh.
