Ultramarine Land Raider Pilot on Cruise Control

Hey All, I am working on a narrative campaign about Ultramarines vs. Orks and was thinking about elements of the Blood Angels showing up in support. My question is this: Fluffwise, do these two chapters generally get along? Is there bad blood like between the SW and DA? Your thoughts are appreciated.

Blood Angels are a Codex Adherent chapter and haven't pissed off the Ultras in any significant way. So, sure, they'd get along just fine.

Thanks. I read something on one of the wikis that said the flesh tearers regard gulleman as a traitor, but they are bit on the whacko side anyway, so I wasn't sure if it was the feeling of the parent chapter as well or just one of thier idiosyncracies.

They have a documented history of getting on well. The Blood Angels sent 3 companies to Ultramar to help mop up splinter fleets of Hive Fleet Behemoth after they, whilst Calgar accepted Dante's command over the Ultramarines during the 2nd Armageddon War.

Awesome. That's the kind of thing I was envisioning for the campaign. Thanks for the input.

As the users above have said, they got on just fine for the most part, as they adhere to the codex etc.
But there have been descriptions of some marines not taking a particular liking to the Blood Angels because of the threat of them succumbing to the Red Thirst or worse, the Black Rage. So there's a bit of distrust in that regard. But they do get along for the most part.

Other chapters don't know about the Red Thirst or Black Rage. They likely have suspicions, but they don't actually know anything. Also, the Blood Angels themselves have a stellar reputation among their fellow Astartes, its the Flesh Tearers nobody wants to work with.

It's been mentioned that there are increased reports of mysterious killings, with the bodies drained of blood, while the Blood Angels are stationed nearby. That's obviously an issue for the local population and allied Guard forces rather than other Marines, though.
In general, I'm not sure if there's many Marine chapters who wouldn't work alongside any other in the face of the enemy. Only the Ultramarines and the Minotaurs have anything approaching that sort of animosity that I'm aware of.
