Well. Props for having the most confusing start to a Dakka thread this side of 2015. Exalted for luck.

Eldar, Imperial Guard and Space Marines.

I am confused by the choices of options in this poll.

My votes included allies I play with as well. So despite owning only 1 Imperial Knight, I do occasionally play it with Grey Knights. Thus I voted Grey Knights, IK, Eldar and Tyranids.

Is that what you intended?

GW sure has a lot of 40k armies these days. Feth me.

Voted Space Marines for my Templars, and Imperial Guard for my semi-heretical regiment.

Also put in a vote for Eldar, despite having never played them. I do have the Codex, and Eldrad, however...

Count the number of voters. 12 Guard players is not surprising

I ran the same poll a few weeks ago that has more responses. Guard are 12% there!

Chaos Space Marines - Got enough for each god to have an army.

Inquisition which then split into Grey Knights... needing something to keep Chaos in check.

Space Marines: Black Templar... unholy amounts and to help out the Inquisition.

Imperial Guard: to be conscripted into the Inquisition but an army of it's own right now.

Skittari: Because they are cool? No other reason...

Imperial Knights: Big stomping models, got two... thinking of a third. One will be a BT big brother.

I play:
Dark Angels: This is my main army.
Khorne Daemonkin: This is my secondary army, currently shelved until I get some better stuff (other than for casual play).
Tau Empire: I could call this my tertiary army, but I don't even have enough of it to play in most tournaments. Hoping to get more after the new codex drops.
Chaos Space Marines: Not an army for me per se, but I have Cypher and some Chosen to run his formation, and I did once borrow a friend's Be'lakor to use in a tournament.
Officio Assassinorum: Also not an army, but I have a Culexus and a Vindicare Assassin. (didn't see an option for this, and forgot to select other, sorry about that)

I started 40K more than 20 years ago with Space Wolves (2nd edition).

When 4th edition came out I switched to CSM and this year I found my actual army : Khorne Daemonkin.
Now I search for a second army, something with long range guns to contrast with Khorne ; I hesitate between Tau (New codex is coming) and Necron.

Chaos Space Marines, Daemons, and Khorne Daemonkin.

I'd very much like to play "traitor" guard tank army using the standard books, but until Imperial Armour 1 gets an update I'm gonna hold off on that.

Dark Angels and Tyranids.

Started with Dark Angels because of the Dark Vengeance Starter Box. I liked their color scheme, looked into their backstory and liked it, so I just kept adding to it.

Tyranids... shucks, who doesn't love hyper aggressive bugs from another galaxy?

ok so chaos space marines nearly 3k points . started in 2002. i currently run alot of zerkers blobs of em ( it works) with kharn as warlord with whatever eles i need to get the job done. have a chosen squad with the remarkable honor of taking out two fire warrior squads a pathfinder squad a hammerhead and a crisis suit by themselves in a single game ( 8 casualties of 10 ) ( got really lucky)
imperial gaurd veterans loaded in valkyries led by strakken and yarrick, with a vanquisher pattern russ for ground support.

We are and always have been the Imperial Guard: Hammer of the EMPRAH!

I play Adepta Sororitas, and I don't even get the luxury of a clutchable codex.

(though I recently found out it is cacheable on my phone).
