Just as the question asks... What is your favorite variant and why?

The last one I blew up is my favorite.

The StormBlade...
I am terrified of it and so therefore it is my favourite.

I've played two games against it now and it's a monster; killing more than its points cost and soaking up so much firepower.

It has a huge range and can reach across the board to eliminate your models.

With the single blast, it almost can't miss a vehicle target and even if it does it'll probably kill something anyway with that massive template. Hell, the 'weaker' Rapid Fire Blasts are the Bane of all infantry and light vehicles too.

Properly supported, it's a nightmare to deal with.

Shadowsword.

Epic name, and it's the super-heavy equivalent of a sniper with an anti-materiel rifle trying to act in a dedicated anti-tank role!

Shadow Sword. Because basically knee capping titans is fun

Hell Hammer. Ignores cover is huge and it has a nice gun.

Shadowsword. The epitome of "reach out and touch someone." Or, rather, something, hopefully that annoying as feth Riptide.

Classic with 4 sponsons. Solves problems of any type.

Stormblade cos a massive plasma cannon is always fun

Stormlord and Shadowsword

Whichever one Captain Diomedes screams about.

While the basic Baneblade is still the classic, I also love the plasma goodness of the Stormblade.

A dead one, I would love it if there was a way not to let them explode. Explosions really suck if you are standing next to it with a klaw or a meltabomb.

Stormblade because of Plasma!

The only ones I care about are the Baneblade, Hellhammer, Shadowsword and Stormlord.

Though I'm hearing a lot of love for the "Stormblade" in here.

technically the stc for the baneblade (and variants) is the same one as fellblade so im going to say the legion glaive cause the volkite carronade is potentially the best weapon for cities of death

It never, ever, works on the table top, but it fires a small nuclear bomb out the main gun, and gives no feths about armour or cover.

Fellblade: Anything you can do Legion do better...

Also, seemingly a good counter to Ravenwing and any other armored Bike army. Since those are quite popular, it's worth considering.
By extension the Stormsword also might be, since its main gun is the same except for firing a larger blast.

Which one carries like 40 people and has the Vulcan Mega Bolter? Looks wise and conceptually that one is my favourite.

Fill it with big guns and techpriests, and watch it become nigh-invincible, with ludicrous killpower

Also why it's the favorite BB of the guy who introduced me to 40k.

Also seems like a great choice if you have assault heavy Marine allies who could use a ride since it's effectively an Assault Vehicle.

True that.... It's a grab bag of random "Intense" words and weapons (or "Lord" for whatever reason) with no rhyme or reason for what means what. And which ones even exist for that matter.

Stormsword, because if Hellhammers ignore cover, stormswords ignore more cover (because their blast is larger).

Is the Stormhamer the one with four battlecannons?

Dear lord.

The Stormblade is awesome in its destructive power.
However, the Stormlord beats it imo because of the huge possibilities it has with that huge transport and firing platform.

But I also wonder about the Doomhammer. It must be one of the rarest varieties because I never hear about it. I wonder why, because it seems quite good on paper.

I also want to really like the Stormhammer, but afaik you can't have that one in 40k.
