Ok, so firstly I apologies for not being around for a while - various reasons
Secondly - no progress on the cathedral I'm afraid - mainly because I've been (yet again) distracted by another project, namely repainting my Reaver Titan as practice for the Warlord.

Those of you who've seen the cathedral may recall a couple of scale pics with the Reaver in shot - it was started and then abandoned many a year ago now. But I've decided to change the colour scheme from this:

To something slightly more familiar

Obviously still very much a work in progress, but it'll tie in quite nicely to a certain piece of terrain - once they're both finished (lol!)

That green looks amazing on your cathedral, but when it's scaled up to the Reaver it becomes something else entirely! That titan is a machine of pure beauty, both model-wise and with your paint scheme. Might have to go back and find the tutorial you did for it when I buy my Imperial Knight

Thanks Rygnan. Translating it to larger areas has its own drawbacks mind, the transitions need to be very gradual otherwise they show up much more than on small areas. Still, will hopefully look the dogs once finished!

Huh. Must've just been the flat colors on the first pic that threw again.

A reaver in motion, wow, incredible work on the construction. And what's shaping up to be a great paint job to match. When I do mine I hope to get as much motion into it.

Phutarf!! It's good to have you back and wonderful to see you putting paint on something. I love the marblized greaves and the beautifully rich green of the shoulder pad and back plate.

It looks almost like an emerald. Kinda translucent. It'll be very cool to see him all done!
With Jan doing his marble knight, I feel like someone should do a full chapter with marble armor.

A small update to this project - some work completed on the carapace:

I'm not 100% happy with the area at the top of the carapace, under the missile pod/above the 'wing', but at the rate I'm progressing this think it'll just have to do!

I would LOVE a tutorial on how you achieved that marble look please?

Breathtaking work. Best looking Titan I've ever seen, the Green is stunning and the marble effect and detail are also top notch so far.

Looking forward to following along with this.

Take it easy.

Ok, hopefully getting some time to do some marble tomorrow so will take some pics for your delectation

Have been doing a few bits on the cockpit interior:

I'm sure sane people don't try and do green keyboard buttons... Mind you, someone dhould also tell forge world that just because you CAN sculpt mind boggling small details you don't HAVE to!

Apologies for the delay in updates - been busy with one thing and another. However, to make up for it, here's a pretty picture of a knee:

And for those waiting for it, a link to a tutorial I posted on FB as to how it was achieved:

Phutarf, glad to see you posting again. As always your work is simply amazing, and the repaint is a very visually pleasing improvement thus far. (Not that the first time was bad, I mean this only as a compliment.)

I absolutely love your greens still, they really do apply to just about any size surface, something I was intially afraid of. Also, I am still trying to copy them.
