This will be the character on the back banners. It is something I took from the film Heaven and Earth 1990

The only poorly painted miniature is the one that is not painted.

Wow, cool!

Wargames Factory? Perry? Inquiring minds and all.

I am so glad to see something other than WWII that I almost cried when I saw the title.

These look very good, well done! What company produces these miniatures? I've been looking at getting some Sengoku Jidai era units for a while now.

Really cool man. I recently have done 60 of these guys over a few days and they are a lot of fun.

One suggestion I read somewhere was that the paint they used on their armour had a sheen to it. So adding a gloss varnish to bits of the armour plates and hats was a suggestion to consider.

They are great though. Nice work.

The bishamoneten banner was Uesugi Kenshin's personal standard, ashigaru would have used the clan's mon.

Somewhere in south-central England.

If you are going to put the mon on the banners, you will go mad from painting. You could print out transfer sheets much more easily.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

That mon seems to be restricted to the Yonezawa domain.

Evalerio of samurai archives made the illustrations,Kenshin was adopted into the Yamanouchi branch(blue and white) while the black and white Uesugi banners could represent the whole clan.

I for one wouldn't want to freehand the mon,but to each his own.

Now if only someone sculpted Kenshin's Sanbo Koshin helmet/armor...

They look fantastic. Model wise and painting wise. I need some of these, but I'll have them from Fukui where I lived.

Also, check out my history blog: Minimum Wage Historian, a fun place to check out history that often falls between the couch cushions.
