In light of the new plastic Horus Heresy models I can imagine a lot of people will be interested. Which Legion are you going to play? Note this isn't your favourite Legion, because that can vary.

Ultramarines. The things in 30k can make their way into my 40k army easily. I was on the fence between them and Alpha Legion, but Ultras get the missile toting Cataphractii and these awesome AP2 Power Axes that strike at initiative. That cemented my decision to stick with the boys in blue.

Yeah but the Alpha Legion can also get the missile terminators... (looks towards the 'Rewards of Treason' special rule)

Emperor's Children are technically the easiest Legion to build, because they are the only ones allowed to display the Aquila on their armor, which means you can use current plastics with helmet swaps instead of going all resin. And their colors are pimp'n. However, that means less given the new plastic MkIV's.

I'm surprised at the number of votes for Emperor's Children. As an EC player myself, I'm well aware of where we rank among the legions (last).

White Scars and Alpha Legion for me with a side of Mechanicum. Started mine a while ago, been playing for a while and I'm currently painting up a rapier battery.

Boys in blue forever. Our Primarch only loses to TWO (Horus and Fulgrim, which makes sense) other Primarchs mathematically and he's probably the best force multiplier in the game. He's pretty good. Even with a S6 AP3 Combi Bolter, he's damn good and sets the bar for all others statwise.

Suzerain Squads are THE BEST and tote initiative axes and boarding shields, we have amazing looking bitz and by far, are the greatest Legion.

InB4 Sanguinius is Infantry with FMC rules, Leman Russ gets an ungodly number of attacks with Freki and Geri (Thinking 8 for Russ, with his Spear/Axe of Mordecai, then 4 between the wolves all at AP2 or something), Khan bike spam and Jonson will probably be the biggest Force Multiplier in the game.

Waiting for Cypher's HH model and rules so I can proper start my Fallen.

Ultramarines have always been my favorite Marines, since the first time I looked on the box art of the old biker kit. I'll be playing them for sure.

I'll be going Raven Guard because I'll be building my army out of original RTB Beakies.

well, looking at my signature, tack on the new Thousand sons I'm getting, and a white scars force, and then my Solar Auxilia + imperial cults and milita army............ oh god help me.

World Eaters. Nice models: Rampagers and Red Butchers. Proxies like Blood Warriors. Angron as one of the best looking Primarch. But I'll paint them according to HH book one.

Once I do get to building my Legion it will either Dark Angels or Death Guard.

I'm going to do every legion using the Shattered Legions rules when we get them, because I seriously like every legion and couldn't decide.

Second Legion here. I actually don't like any of the existing color schemes enough, but I don't feel right about taking a Legion's rules without using a Legion's colors. Got my own homebrew rules approved by my gaming group. If anyone outside my gaming group ends up having a problem with them, I'll just use Imperial Fists rules for that game.

Already have a FW Salamanders legion in work, so the plastics will be Alpha Legion.

And I'll be going in big on FW when they come out with the Thousand Sons.

Thousand Sons. New kits let me build them with proper Astartes Legion-era armour (I don't like the CSM kits), and I then have an army I can use in either setting.

When I eventually pick the stuff I want out of Ebay I will paint them for my Dark Angels' successor.

30k is way too expensive for me.

Thousand sons, or fallen. The only interesting marines.

We are Legion. Or not, but we look like it.

Thousand Sons, easily! They're the reason I'm in Warhammer.

And maaaybe something from any Fellow Warrior armies to complement TS weaknesses.

Not a surprise at all, really. Their rules are very good, and support multiple playstyles.

Blood Angels because Sanguinius is a badass.

It also helps that I'm relatively short on funds compared to my gaming group so I can use the 40k MKVII armour and say they were on Terra. Won't stop me trying to get the MKII - MKVI armour though

The paint scheme FW have put out there is a pain in the ass. But they're noted for using a wide variety of colors on their armor, everything from black through to light gray-blue, including the blue-green blended armor that you're thinking about.

Eh, it's the simplest paintscheme I've ever used. A few airbrush passes to get the majority base coat, detail, weathering, job done. Takes me a fraction of the time than a traditional Marine.

Deathguard, or possibly Blackshields depending on what their rules are like.

Shattered Legions from Istvaan, the Salamanders, Ravens and Iron Hands. Keeps things easy to mix up on the paint desk, huge fluff potential, cool schemes and loads of conversion opportunity.

I am trying to decide if I want to do Night Lords or Imperial Fists. No one near my area plays 30k, or even 40k for that matter. I will probably do Imperial Fists so I can use them for my 40k army aswell. Night Lords are my favorite chaos legion but it would just be another army I never get to use.

I would do imperial fist but I dont think Mk4 looks good for them

if they ever release mark 3s then for sure.
