Now that my boxes have arrived, I'm looking at options for the models. How have people been removing them from the bases? I don't want to try using heat, since that will no doubt warp the bases, and I might want to use them for something else down the line.

Not sure what was used to glue them, but putting them in the freezer overnight might do the trick, worth trying with one model at least.

Other than that, saw is probably the most workable solution, you can probably get the blade underneath the foot without much of an issue.

most of mine were loose from their base as it was, but the freezer Idea has paid off in the past for me.

I just carefully wiggled my xacto blade under their fleets and sliced them off the base

I just yanked them all off and i didn't break/snap anything!. Though in hindsight, that was probably just dumb luck :p.

I opened the box and several of them obliged me. The glue doesn't seem very strong, as I was able to wiggle the ifrit out of his base pretty quickly. On the other hand, the Molock seems fairly resistant...so far.

Try putting them in the freezer. It makes the glue more brittle, which made it a lot easier to pop the elf and wizard off their bases.

I'm not planning to remove any of mine per se, but I do have five or so of them glued on facing the wrong way, one troll in particular is crowded all into one corner and overhanging badly because the angle is wrong. I'll give the freezer a try when it's fixing time, have another dozen or so that just need a bit of simple boiling water treatment.

Righto - thanks! I'll freezer them at some point and then pop and slice till they're free. I should finish some more stuff before I start on these though. I was super keen for those undead trolls.
