Interesting force, but it DOES take a while to play. 120 crazy screaming goons can really eat up the movement phase! I got totally destroyed against Solar Auxilia, who had bought enough massive templates to cause a lot of damage, but the rest of the tournament they managed to hold their own. The idea was that the Mutant Spawn ran ahead, scaring people into shooting at them as the horde ran forward, and Zardu summoned in the backfield. Of course, in a lot of games the horde never made it into combat but the psychological effect on your opponent was pretty fun...
If they could get across the board, they would go through any assault unit. I had a unit assaulted by Red Butchers. They charge, kill a ton of guys, doesn't matter, pile in, all the
RBs dead from rending hits. Move on. That was how a lot of the assaults went.
