I can't choose between buying a Daemon Prince or Keeper of Secrets! My army is predominantly Slannesh themed and so KoS seems like a nice fit but a daemon prince also seems quite nice

I actually love the KOS. He gets 3 rolls on telepathy so he has a 50-50 shot at being invisible and his plus 3" to running makes him faster then you'd expect.

He's also nice and fluffy, the prince is cool also, I'd run both eventually myself so why not pick your favorite to start.

However the KoS model is an ugly finecast piece of crap... The Demon Prince model is a far better kit. I'd say get a Demon Prince now and hold off on a KoS until it gets a better model. The Demon Prince is a much more versatile unit on the tabletop too, since it can actually move more than 6"...

The prince is a bit less vulnerable to standard bolter weaponry, since it can purchase an armor save, but is more vulnerable to things like orbital bombardments and other strength 10 weaponry.

The prince can have a 3+ armor save and other gifts for durability, though, while the KoS has to hope she gets one or gets the best durability combo, FNP 4+ and reroll failed invul.

Actually, since the prince is T5 3+ (assuming you bought the mandatory armour) and the kipper is T6 5++, they are actually equially resistant to bolterfire (0.074 of a wound per bolter shot). Given that the KoS is cheaper, can can roll 3+ armour via greater gifts and have it be useful, while still being immune to being doubled out without some toughness reducer, I'd say KoS all the way. I'm also assuming that if you buy one a gift, you do the same for the other.

Having said all that, Princes get biomancy, can jink, can move 12" and can fly/swoop when required, so if you like to take your chances on rolling iron arm and don't mind spending the extra points, a prince could be the go... but I'd still take the keeper.

For me it would basicly be a question of flying or footslogging.

Unless you feel like you need a flyer (both for movability and possibility of attacking enemy flyers) I would
probably go for the KOS because its more monster per point, so to speak.

In case you decide to wait for a new Keeper of Secrets, don't hold your breath while waiting. I don't think that there have been any new Slaanesh kits in a few years and expecting a new Keeper model to come out before 2017 is way too optimistic. I wouldn't even count it coming out that soon and when it does, it's going to cost at least double what the current model does. Keep this in mind when planning your purchases, grab a cheap Keeper from eBay.

If you are this happy about KoS, but not a DP then get the KoS.

Why not get the Forgeworld keeper of secrets? It's gorgeous, and then you don't have to wait for a model that'll never be released... lol

Step 1: Buy a DP model

Step 2: Convert DP model with 4 arms (since the kit comes with plenty)

Step 3: Magnetize the wings. I believe the wings may just fit in, so magnets may be unnecessary.

Step 4: If step 2 or 3 are outside your hobby experience, pay someone to do them.

Step 5: Done! Now you have BOTH a DP and a KOS to use either when you want.

I use Kromlech Handmaiden of pain, fixed up with just a little bit of green stuf.
I was really sceptical towards the model at first, the proportions is just a bigger daemonette rather than monster, but with a proper pose and some good colours I quite happy with her as an alternative... for now.

Sorry, my photography really suck these days, but this will give you the general idea.

If you ever run into the dilemma of choosing between a GD and a DP again, just remember GD > DP.

That is unless you have 2 GDs already, then go for the DP.
