Hi everyone these are my Plans for 2016, what are yours aims/plans for the coming year.

For me my gaming plans falls into 2 main parts:
1) Touching up my current word bearers army (and repainting some black legion into Word Bearers)
This I feel has been long over due and although a long task hopefully one I will be able to look back on at the end of the year and be proud of

2) Add some centrepiece models and units to my Word Bearers. Having avoided tanks and big monsters in favour of infantry I can now spend more of the year adding the larger models and armour units to give the army more of a cohesive look, like a warband would operate in reality (well, figuratively anyway...)

And then maybe (and a big maybe) give forgeworld a crack if I have the time and funds at the end of all that's above

It always comes down to time and money

The main two goals are:

1) Fully rebase and start up on the painting of my High Elf Army;

2) Finish the 40k induction of my nephew with his fish faced commies.

Hoping time allows it.

Deffo going to get plenty of games of x wing in and, from delving into Frostgrave, Going to try and assemble a suitable modular board and get a campaign going.

Mooching through my shed I notice the sorry state of my Space Pups. One squad at a time I'm going to get them stripped, posed, magnetized and sent off to a commission painter. I may even attempt a game or two with them after a long layoff.

Finish writing my own sci-fi wargame rules [plug] Which can be found in the Game Design Subforurm [/plug]

Get C-3PO for X-Wing.

1) Finish my massive bridges for 40k

2) Play lots of Cards Against Humanity with friends and beer

- Get a Solar Auxilia army of 2500 pts ready for a game in April this year, as I'll be going to the UK for the first time in.. quite a few years now to pay a visit to a friend and his wife, which of course means that one must bring an army along for an obligatory fight to the death. Most of the models for this army are already present, but still need to be painted and based, so it's going to be a hard few months to get it all done. I'll also need to track down a Stormlord for the list, not to mention convert it to give it its Heresy-era armaments, because where we are going we don't want no weedy stubbers.

- Wrap up 2500 pts of Imperial Knights with a small allied contingent of Mechanicum for completion sake and for when my regular Tau opponent wants to go big-game hunting again.

- Build a 1000 pts Solar Auxilia force for Zone Mortalis missions. While I have most of the units already in my possession, the general idea is to also add in units that normally wouldn't see as much play, like the power axe armed Veletaris squad, they make for a great melee unit there.

- Get started on an allied force of Imperial Fists (Heresy-era of course) of around 750 - 1000 pts, in proper yellow and all that for a few games against the Iron Warriors of a fellow local Heresy player, so probably Zone Mortalis themed as well.

- If I'm feeling really brave or stupid, I may look at something along the lines of either a Warhound or Ordinatus Ulator.

1: Do not buy anymore models until im dont painting the ones I have, Barring some of the conversions I did while drunk
2: Get my Tau to where I want them. Mostly, more suits.
3: Get all my guard stripped and painted. a bit hard because I need empire feathered heads.
4:get packing for all my models.

1: 1 item purchase per month (excluding hobby supplies and paint type things)

2: Fully paint my D wars armies (so far 3 almost 4)
3: Knock out Planet Fall Aquans
4: Redo all my Imperial Fists, sell of my other armies
5: Finish Circle of orborus stuff.

and the usual struggles involved with all of that.

So realistically completed in like 10 years

edit: Oh god i forgot i had infinity and all quiet on the martian front to :/

I'm not really sure yet what I'll be doing for the whole year.

My first goal is to finish up painting more Bushido miniatures.

After that I'm not really sure. I've got a few unfinished projects I can work on like my Tyranids, IJA and Teutonic Knights. I only painted 1/3 of what I bought last year so I should really work on them. There are also a bunch of interesting games I might get into like Tanks or Team Yankee and some of the games I do play like Batman are going to be expanded on via impulse purchases.

Finish up my raven guard army. Then start/finish my dark mechanicus army. Oh and actually put some more effort into doing my armies on parade board this year.

Finish up my Blood Angels -- I have a Sicaran left, more of stuff I've already done (more pods, more razorbacks, more land raiders, etc.), and then finish it off with some collection-only models (like attack bikes and land speeders), and models that I'll use for when I play my BA as vanilla marines (like Centurions).

I want to finish up some terrain projects that range from between concept to 25% completed that are all on my table. These are good for between other projects, because they're mostly fast drybrush on the paint end and a nice way to unwind.

Then, I have to choose... Eldar or Necron! I absolutely love Eldar models, and I have a closet-full of resin and plastic to paint, but I already have 10,000 points of Eldar; I've never painted a Necron army before, and doing a brand new army appeals to me.

Maybe, in between, finish up a functional Cyngar or Retribution army for WMH. Depends a little if any of my buddies want to play it.

Paint some of my backlog of Infinity models!

If I can, squeeze in a Knight Warden.

1. Get all of my current stuff based and primed.
2. Try and get a Frostgrave warband fully painted.

With a 3 week old baby my hobby stuff is going to be taking a very back seat so I'm not going to set myself any goals that are particularly daunting.

1) Finish up the Black Legion commission job.

2) Finish up my various projects - primarily dark elves, two Bret centerpiece conversions, and a Skaven Doomwheel.

3) Make a game table.

4) Terrain, terrain, terrain.

5) ...see if I can convince anyone in this misbegotten one-horse town to play.

actually accomplished a lot of my 2015 goals so I am feeling pretty good right now. So here is my goals for 2016.

Painting and Modelling:
1. Assemble my Robotech RPG Tactics models
2. Paint the rest of my AQMF stuff
3. Paint 2 Gladiator Chariots
4. Complete painting my Necromunda Terrain
5. Paint Inquisitor Warband

Rules Writing
1. Complete and post the rules for Combat! Starring Vic Murrow!
2. Complete the core rules for 1 other Wargame system that is TBD

Purchases:
1. Buy the Osprey rules I am interested in
2. Operation: Icestorm for infinity
3. Buy models for Combat!

Playing:
1. Play JUGS
2. Necromunda
3. Aquanautica Imperialis
4. All Quiet on the Martian Front
5. Playtest Combat!
6. Continue my RPG campaign
7. Play 1 new games system

Playing, painting or building any Aeronautica Imperialis is notably absent from my 2016 goals. That is a big surprise to me as it has featured prominently over the last 5 years.

I'd like to actually play a game of 40k/AoS with all the models I have. Love modelling and everything, but playing a few rounds with a case of beer on a weekend might be fun.

Other goal is to expand on the scenery I have, would like a little more landscape type pieces. I think I'll try my hand at building a few myself.

Finish my IG, Get a Sisters of Battle army. Get out of AoS and card games completely.

Paint up my lizard fellows.
Maybe get into historicals with my dad.
Master and defeat death.
Get better at making some terrain.

Infinity and Malifaux
Miniatures - Buy less, paint more. I have accumulated an impressive backlog.
Terrain - get 1 fully painted table for each game built.

Board games
I want to get more into boardgames. I've got Zombicide and Imperial Assault sitting around waiting to be played. Need to organise some game nights. Also paint the miniatures, becaise they're actually pretty nice.

Sounds like a lot of us are going to be extremely busy this year. it will be interesting to return to this thread later on in the year and see how many of us have actually achieved our goals.

Potential foray in to AoS with the new Start Collecting! sets...

1) Continue to expand my KoW elves army upp to 5000p
2) Build a 30k Auxilia force of 2500p
3) Continue to build and expand my associations supply of terrain

Hobby- Paint more, I made a dent in my Sisters army, need to do a lot on the Deathwatch & Mechanicus

Play-Two GTs this year, NOVA and ATC; try out the Star Wars tabletop games, finally get in a Warmahordes game

Buy-A few more things for the Mechanicus, some HF for the Sisters

Sell- The excess stuff that I've got (a few thousand points from the SM/BA pile, extra Tau and Eldar that I just won't ever paint

Ideally:
- Finish painting my CSMs
- Finish painting my current DE models, and build them up to the point where I can field a legit army with them
- Start collecting Tau - the new 'Start Collecting' box is too tempting, plus I do hanker after playing an army that's decently competitive...
- Paint the scenery I've built. Build more.
- Maybe Frostgrave?

Realistically, based on last year's performance:
- Actually finish painting a model. Any model. Maybe even a unit (I can dream)...

Ideally:

-Build an Exalted Court formation of Knights.
-get and paint, at minimum 1 "full" (based on my list) platoon of Vostroyan Guardsmen
-Finish repainting all of my guard vehicles to the Vostroyan scheme

-fix/repair some of my scenery that hasn't survived moving so well.

I just posted a blog entry (link in my sig below) on what did/didn't happen in 2015 for my hobby and what I plan for the future in 2016. The TL;DR version is to finish the crap I didn't accomplish in 2015, start some new crap (both house rules and painted models), and simply play more this year than last.

Lets see, I'm expanding my Slaaneshi Daemon army again. I digitally sculpted up a new Daemon Princess and a female Keeper of Secrets in Zbrush that I want to get printed out at Shapeways so I can resin cast it. Then I have some custom daemonettes that I sculpted that are halfway between the current models <which I love by the way> and the 4th edition Diaz version. Nakeder....ofcourse... Then I have a true-scale Noise Marine kit I've be working on to get printed, along with some vehicle upgrades, icons, and sonic weapons. I also drew up some custom Emperors Children and Slaaneshi daemon tattoos in Adobe illustrator to get printed out as decals. Cause we all know GW can't be arsed to do CSM let alone Slaanesh. If they won't make them I'll make my own. So, I've got the next 2-3 months planned. Then maybe I'll make those chaos plushies I been wanting. Who doesn't want a plushie daemonette or noise marine...right?

After that I have an itch to do a Ravenguard / Carcarodon Astra space marine force. True-scale of course.

Then, freshen up my Black Templars with some custom bits and some repaints. Along with some plasticard drop pods and I don't want to drop $400 on 12-13 drop pods.

Then I need to get a last few missing units for my Vampire Counts collection. Not that I'm likely to play it again but I love the models. I have no desire to play AOS and I haven't be able to get any 8th editions games in my area. So the ships sailed on WF for me. So, I just want to finish off my collection. I was slowly building to having a themed force for all 5 of the bloodlines. So I'll finish that up for my display case.
