Subject: Warzone Fenris - what's wrong with the Dark Angels?
Okay, so I just got through with reading through a summary of Warzone Fenris, and I can't help but think "are the Dark Angels complete morons?" Think about this for a second: The Space Wolves are working alongside the Grey Knights! By opening fire on the Space Wolves, the Dark Angels will inevitably incur the wrath of the Inquisition, due to the fact that the Dark Angels will have murdered a group of the incorruptible Astartes that directly serve the Inquisition.
Or am I missing something here? Are the Dark Angels completely unaware that Chaos is going all-out to destroy the Space Wolves? Do they not know that the Grey Knights are there?

I'm pretty sure them, and the crusade fleet of Iron Hands, Ultramarines, and everyone else they could rally, are more concerned with the Heresy they Wolves are committing by not only harbouring mutants but devolving into them, as well.
They might not be aware of the Grey Knights presence, but bringing the Wolves to heel are the Astartes priority.
(That, and the Changeling is on the Rock, twisting and corrupting messages the Rock and fleet receive about the situation.)

The Dark Angles are as stupid as they need to be for the plot to be dramatic, just like the good ole' Emperor. Hell, it's like a tradition with the Astartes now, to be blind and manipulated by Chaos into fighting each other.
Just trying to figure out how a monstrous agent of Chaos can wander around on the same fortress monastery/asteroid that's harboring a primarch, though.

It's stupid, we're expected to believe the changling wouldn't be detected by the most convoluted and secretive chapter in 40k, the same chapter that plants key phrases in even it's highest ranking members in case they get out of line, masters of rooting out any and all corruption, using mundane and psychic techniques, whom screening everyone is a daily occurrence for the librarius, I've seen plot armour before, but this takes the biscuit.
It's bad story telling is what it is, it would have been much better if logan had found out the dark angels secrets and the angels had to silence the wolves, showing how far they had fallen, and used the "mutants" as an excuse to bring others on board.

No. The Changeling is the best infiltrator in the entire galaxy (he is literally indistinguishable from an actual Dark Angel in any way), and the Dark Angels' security is good but far from perfect. The Changeling managed to infiltrate all the way into the throneroom of the god Slaanesh to cut its hair and who put Nurglings on Khorne's throne. Compared to that, infiltrating the Dark Angels and impersonating Sammael is a simple job. You are just butthurt your favourite faction got deceived.

Considering the Changeling gives the Grey Knights the slip on a regular basis, and has caused entire worlds to burn as the Grey Knights try to stop its escape, I'd say it's pretty good at infiltrating, yea.

They and all other chapters are ruled by techno barbarian warlords in power armour who haven't even heard about diplomacy that is what is wrong with them.
Most of these conflicts could have been prevented if they you know actually talked before opening fire.

The only popular comic I can think of where this objection doesn't apply is Judge Dredd. The Judges are actually incredibly competent, and Dredd pretty much never makes stupid mistakes.
