Hell... i'm not even sure this is the right forum any more (Is TnT an "other sci-fi" or just "other" lol)... but I am wondering if anyone knows where to find the most active discussion on This is not a Test? My group has been playing it more and more, but there are always little rules questions to want other opinions on, thoughts on custom scenarios, etc...

Has anyone into the game found a particularly good community for this amazing little game?

Oh, and the prerequisite... if you haven't heard about TnT and stumble on this thread, go buy it immediately. Best campaign/skirmish game on the market today, by a WIDE margin.

Come join us on the Facebook. BUt that said, lets add some TNT content to this sub. I posted my campaign here which i'll keep updated as we add new games.

I did request to be added to the FB group (I'm Mark... good to meet fellow fans), and am eager to dig into your long-form campaign report. I'm thinking the wife and I will begin recounting out own campaign in a similar format as I bring out my Super-Mutant warband for their first serious go.

And yes... this game deserves far more attention. The KS is doing well by "small game" standards though, and I do see interest on the rise (and attention with the BoW game awards nomination).

Its a hell of a system, and I feel like many Dakka users divided over the states of many of their "big" games they feel obligated to play, but who are ultimately unhappy with, would do well to discover this gem and reconnect with great rules, thoughtful design, and good hobby inspiring fun.

We have been discussing a "this is not a 40k conversion" to try to ease more people into the system locally.

That sounds like a great idea. For my group its been oddly easy. We're a group largely bored with the scale of hobby projects and money spent to keep playing the "big" games, and when it came time to decide if we wanted to each spend another $1000 on new 40k armies, or try smaller games, the later won.

We played a bunch of Frostgrave, and loved going back to a time when painting a list meant ten lovingly converted/painted models, instead of a hundred stock models, painted to generic table-top out of sheer necessity.

From there TnT was an easy transition as it did everything we loved about Frostgrave, but more competitively or with smarter designed mechanics, and a (mostly) beefier campaign engine.

TnT in my experience is very easy to show off, and mostly sells itself, all it needs is people really putting it out there.

And the future is so good. Everything that makes the game great is being expanded this summer with a proper full expansion book. All I want now, now that my wish for "more" of everything has been met, is some substantial "base building" system.

Edit: Since this seems a decent place to ask TnT questions for the moment... how does one "get" the Psychic Battery mutation? It doesn't appear on the random table... so.... yeah?

I think you can only get Psychic Battery on models that start with it - I think the Mutants and Tribals each have an option for a leader with the ability.

What are people doing for the more unusual members of the warbands? For example, what minis have folks found for sacrificial lambs, robo-K9s, Wreck-it bots, and weird mutants?

There is a fair amount of TNT discussion here:

I've been wondering if there's any way to start with a medic in a Raider warband?

The only medic skill is a general trait and from what I can gather it cannot be chosen as a starting skill because it isn't in any of the "skill" lists.

I have a crazy wasteland doc mini I need to use...

I think the spirit of TNT would just say make the cool model just about anything else, and you can find a home for it. I definitely get why Raiders might not have access to a medic, as their list is littered with a "live has little value/throw more bodies at the meat-grinder" mentality.

Loving the game so far. We're using some of the experimental balance changes Joseph put up on the FB group, and they've been great. Not my shielded and armored Super Mutants finally benefit from both, which means they're ultra hard to kill, but I still only have a Warband of four models, to my wife's seven.

I haven't checked recently, but you might find some TNT discussion on the "Post Apocalyptic Wargames" forum.

Most definitely into it, and interested in future support. We're actively working on building a small campaign group in the NY/CT area, and are hungry for the first full expansion book!

Been super busy lately. Have a few minis to paint on my desk - a sawbones and a few dogs. Finished up a giant terrain project recently which left me with not much wind left in my sails. Went back to painting some of my Tyranids as a break from TNT for the moment.

You can see my terrain here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/690920.page
