Anyone got any famous/infamous Emperor's Champions, from fluff? Not army fluff, mind.

I'm fairly sure that any Brother who takes up the Armour of Faith forfeits their name and is known only as 'The Emperor's Champion', so all of the feats and victories of the individuals who have served bestow their fame upon the title. There are multiple Emperor's Champions at any given time, but any achievements will just be attributed to 'The Emperor's Champion'.

At least, that would be the coolest way of doing it.

Sigismund was the Emperor's Champion and is well known as Sigismund.

The Emperors' Champion was pretty awesome. Oh, and the Emperors' Champion too. You remember that time when Emperors' Champion challenged a Carnifex and won? Emperors' Champion tried that too, but wasn't as... Successful.

Lets be honest though, Sigismund was the best.

Pfft, surely there would at least be an attached designation based on the crusade in which the Champion fought?

Only EC fluff I have found outside of codex stuff is in Helsreach, and the dude isn't even named there. Just dies off-page and is reported to Grimaldus, iirc.

In the Helsreach Crusade the Champion's name is Bayard. He is killed in sight of Grimaldus and then another gets promoted who dies when the Temple collapses on their heads.

You shouldn't be worried about the one bullet with your name on it, Boldric. You should be worried about the ones labelled "to whom it may concern"-from Blackadder goes Forth!

Sigismund. Undoubtably the best.

Oh nice. Haven't read the book in years. Didn't realise EC's were a thing at the time.

So... They do have names...

Go on Lexicanum and it lists notable ECs from fiction and games and their deeds. IIRC all but one of them led their crusade to a stunning victory from the edge of defeat. The one who didn't led a glorious last stand alongside a Chaplain at the hands of an Ork Waaagh!

I also remember reading in "Best quotes" thread one EC was annoited by Grimaldus in the heat of battle.
*EC dies*
Grimaldus " Brother Edgar, pick up your sword!"

There really isn't any named ECs other than Sigismund which really did anything special. But he is by far the most well known.
