I was in sheer awe then threw up in my mouth a little when the terribly bad idea to contemplate MSRP crossed my mind.

Bravo on making the city a reality tho.

All the Emperor requires of us guardsmen is that we hold the line, and die fighting. Its what we do best. We die standing.

Epic

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

There's a fog machine and chiller built into the back side of the city. Thanks!

The basing suggests that this belongs on the regular realm of battle, but that terrible Imperialis Board was there and I guess it was worth covering up...

I really like those close-up shots, looks like a lot of fun was had.

Impressive.
And it looks like it's also well designed to play on.

That is a problem with a few other impressive tables i have seen, that are great to look at, but you cannot use most of it to play on.

Above all I like the different playing "levels" of the palace.
I am going to copy that concept :-)

Agreed!

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity lasts forever.

Considering also your duty as a warrior you should not waver. Because there is nothing more auspicious for a warrior than a righteous war.

By the emperor.......

How many pieces of GE terrain did that freaking take?!

I have been wanting to build a bad ass board so bad, but the only way I think I Could afford it is is if I let my GW store owner buy it for me with the discount but let it stay in the store

To many unpainted models to count.

Excellent work. You've really captured the Feel of the 40k artwork that we all feel is so evocative. The smoke effects is a clever touch.

I do think it could have used more color in the details. It's a bit 2-tone, but I assume that with a project of this size you had some time constraints. Taken as a whole the overall effect is quite impressive.

I'd love to play necromunda on this!
