The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I had no idea this was being made, and would normally go on a rant about leaving the classics alone at this point... but that looks like it'll be really, really awesome! Count me in for this one!

Well, the original was just a remake of the Seven Samurai, so can’t really complain when it gets remade. Heck A Bug’s Life was a remake!
I won’t pay theater prices to see this, but will defiantly put it in my netflix queue. Does look good.
Battle Beyond the Stars was low budget Awesome Sauce.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Looks horrible. It seems they've changed some major things just for the sake of diversity/political correctness and special effects opportunity.
I'm not against remakes. The recent remake of True Grit was pretty darned good, actually followed the book closer than the John Wayne version. I like them both.
This? Based on the trailer looks like typical Summer Movie garbage.

There is a board dedicated to films and tv on 4chan that would just love you.

In all seriousness though. Aside from the music... the thing with "The Magnificent Seven" that was iconic wasn't that the characters. - I couldn't name a single one, for example, but it was instead the [i]actors[/].
Since it's a remake, you're, by definition, not going to have the same actors, instead, you should instead go for the best actors you possibly can to carry the film, irrespective of colour, race or sex.

Now now. It said "Training Day" and "The Equalizer". Though no, no it does not. I imagine it was mentioned because both earlier films are also Antoine Fuqua and Denzel Washington flicks.

The theme from the original Magnificent 7 is a fairly kick ass tune. In my opinion, one of the best for a western along with The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, as well as The Dollar movies.
The original The Magnificent Seven may be a remake of Seven Samurai, but both films are still timeless classic of cinema. It's not the first classic western film that was a take on a Kurosawa film.
The problem is that Hollyweird has a tendency to butcher classic films because of a lack of originality. But on the plus side, the classics will be remembered while these "remakes" and "reimaginings" will be long forgotten.
And that's all I'm going to say on the matter, since I'm not going to take the bait.
