Shoot, and I just sent Ed a "Contact Me" trade request without realizing that Host pledges come with $20 (+3 aliens?) in trading credit.

Philip doesn't post here, so your best bet is to send in a note via the "contact me" on the KS page (which I think Philip does actually have access to).

Okay. I will send another "Contact Me" message to Ed's Kickstarter account. I know he's busy, so I don't want to bother him too much, but I do want to be able to fill out my pledge manager on time.

I sent a somewhat vague request to him because I just don't have the time or energy to add up all the dollars and credits for the trade and don't really care if I end up losing out a bit. I just wanted to drop Swarm Adults, Swarm Adult Warriors, Hosts and the Queen and replace them with whatever I can get in Stealth Swarm Adults, Hounds, and one of each Alien Hunter. And use the $20 in the store for 2 Alien Brains. Much of this deal was worked out back when the Kickstarter campaign was still going, but I've changed my mind on a few things because of the sculpts and the delays.

RITides, you know them, right? Is this trade request too complicated, or something that will be a problem for them to fulfill?

It sounds reasonable, the general rule of thumb is only trading 50% of your pledge value. If you haven't heard back by Friday shoot me a PM and I'll ping Philip (I imagine he's sorting through quite a few messages like this one as we speak!).

Hopefully, for most folks the automated trade system will work on the pledge calculator. I may have a go at the calculator on the weekend if you haven't heard back and see what I think yours would work out to, so I can know what I'm taking about . Is your Kickstarter name the same as your username here?

My Kickstarter name is not the same. Thank you. I have heard back from Philip, but I don't know that it's worked out yet...

I'd hope that he's a bit more flexible with this sort of thing if need be, given that he hasn't exactly held up his end of the transaction being 17 months late and counting...

I've found that he is indeed very flexible on swaps. It's Philip handling the communication now, of course, but Ed really is hoping to have this done and dusted by year's end (or at least the aliens). I don't know if it's possible, but he wants to send out the Kickstarter rewards as quite a few folks have inquired about buying the models (like Hulksmash about the hounds last page) and he won't sell them until he's sent them to backers, of course. So, onwards the fulfillment!

Well, I only pledged $50, but traded a lot more than $25 in credit even though I traded less than half of my minis. Hope that won't be a problem. I will probably have to wait on the alien hunters, but whatever.

If anybody on Dakka knows any of the names below give them a gentle poke, we've all waited long enough so I'd hate for them to miss out because they're no longer at their old email addresses

I've tracked down camoudragon's real name (redacted, since this is public) and location (Germany) but haven't found a facebook, etc yet. Lots of now-inactive posts on various forums, and what looks like a probably translation credit on Mobygames.

Andre Mcinnis (the former herald of the search duck) is active on facebook on the trollforged page so he's got the survey

I hope Ed gets these done soon because there is now renewed interest in Tyranids due to the new spore pods etc, as well as new creatures available, and he really needs to be able to capitalise on this interest as soon as possible.

A month on - and a month till C+NY (see what I did there?) and I think it's safe to say that this one won't be finished in 2015. (Even aliens-only). Hope for Easter, then?

I see what you did there. I wonder what the wait time would be if I hired him to do a sculpt for me...

We were supposed to hear something after Thanksgiving, but we're still waiting. Apparently a few sculpts are waiting to be finished up. Still 2015 for Queen level pledges.

Remember - Christmas is after Thanksgiving. It's all in the way you look at things...

Host update: everyone who's pledge wasn't on hold will be shipped this weekend. The other pledges that are on hold are boxed up and awaiting missing miniatures.

In a reply to a message on the same topic I sent this;

I have nothing official, but the survey for Swarm level is going out within the next couple of weeks. The only miniatures Queen level has that the Swarm level does not is the 'Queen Guard'. I suspect the bottle neck in the whole process will be *me* sorting through it all: as backers have a lot of options, and I like to track 'em down when the miss out of any stuff, and give them every chance to respond to the survey. Considering that we are in November, I suspect Queen will be early 2015 which is disappointing, but we might get it done sooner. If I get pictures of all remaining Trollcast product, I may stack Swarm and Queen and have them within weeks of each other.

That's my unofficial thoughts at the moment, but I should have something more concrete soon

My question is why has the dreadnought not been finished yet? Seeing as it was commissioned out to a different sculptor I see no reason why they are taking so incredibly long in designing the thing. Seeing as it is now the only model I want from this ks is seems silly that the 3D design hasn't even been finished yet

Yeah I reckon the 3d stuff should have been done by now. Unless the guy is paid in installments or something and doesn't work onwards until he has the money. Which might be smart in this instance, who knows.

What about the alien hunters? We've seen most of the greens, but it sounds like they aren't ready for casting yet.

They're done, the surveys went out and people only getting them have been fulfilled (most people getting them have other stuff too)

It turns out I'm still pretty excited for this project. Yay, alien worms!

Any idea what the retail pricing is going to look like when these minis finally hit retail? The Overlord and Drone look exciting, but if they are too much more than the kickstarter price I'm concerned that plastic Tyranids might become even more exciting.
