vik´s home has been severely hit by a supply drop bomb... the amount of destruction by opening a parcel of a certain person that is staring in this thread can be viewed in my thread...it is most gruesome as some peeps got slain by all the stuff that flew around when the tightly stuffed package was opened

Talking of Lego, we went to Legoland Windsor yesterday. Great day out, if a little on the busy side. There's a new Star Wars Lego display with scenes from all the movies - not minifigure scale but bigger... Took some photos and will post them over in my blog later - just waiting for Photobucket to upload them all...

Lego build time with my son was great, until he wanted o go veg out with the tv, sometimes you have Lego building mojo, sometimes you don't.

Gave me time to paint as he watched ben10.

Info is just for grins, since I was painting them in my blog. Still trying to get him into necromunda so I have more reason to paint and build. As it is now I want to build A Bloodbowl pitch of my own. I have the one from the main set, but always wanted a custom field. There is a campaign system to bloodbowl, but he still just enjoys one off games. He was also rolling hot, breaking armour easily every roll, and rolling elevens on the wound rolls. If we were playing a campaign his Minotaur would have leveled up at least once just from doing casualties. My big guy got knocked out in the third turn of the first half and never came back onto the field.

BBQ was excellent even with a thunderstorm starting as soon as the grill was hot. Got hailed on while flipping the brats and burgers. The game wound up as a 1:1 tie even though I never had more than 5 guys on the field in the second half and he had a Minotaur, 3 chaos warriors and 6 beast men against me. The low armor rating of the Norse really showed itself, but he would have done the same to a dwarf team, as he constantly rolled elevens and twelves for breaking the armor. It was fun, he gave me the option of quitting and starting with a new team, but I stuck to it and pulled off a tie.

good for you theo glad to here that i played as the norse online before my comp took a crap and they were quite challenging

They look great on paper, but if the opponent has any luck, your armor is broken and the team falls apart. Finish painting them has gone to a back burner. Painting will continue, but it will be on these.
I don't have a gang figured out, but have enough models, except maybe for juves. I'll play around with colors today, the yellow and black were from years ago.

That will be a BIG gang to run, is a platoon sized thing!

That's just the models I have, not going to use them all. Tried a few color options. They all went into the stripping chemicals shortly after. Must do research to find something I like. Then get Viks approval .

If you're looking for an easy way to choose colour schemes you can try this website that Ifalna pointed out on her blog (check that out as well, if you haven't). It's for web-page design, but it has an interactive colour wheel and shows you what the colours look like together. Obviously not quite as good as seeing it on the model, in the hand, but it's useful to get ideas.

I would have used them as both optional individuals for the gang, AND altogether with a unifying color scene or so to make a platoon outta them! But that is the way I think

Took a break from my stuff to work on something important.

My sons first model car that he has done on his own. Revel 2010 ford mustang GT convertible . Can't say much for the color, but it was the only option there. Ever since my kids found out I had a mustang GT when I got married, he points them out on the road. I new there were tons of mustangs around but . We have been decorating his room in mustangs, and cameros as those are his favorite car on his racing games.

I personally look at the model and see a future looted vehicle for the orks that I might one day buy .

Nice model, start 'em young I say. Once the kids discover the joys of model building there's no turning back

my oldest son has lots of ideas but when it comes to painting or building stuff of hobby fame...then he has the weak fingers/hand syndrome i call it... too much brushwork and he gets bored...
that will change soon... and if it lasts... well he has other talents in arts he can explore^^...

as for your esher gang... somehow all suggestions for any models always make me come up with my favorite colorscheme... namley...dark red. black and white...(somehow i realize now that i secretly like harley quinns costume^^) but for escher this actually could work pretty well... if you want some rather dashing and flashing ones of course^^

if your doing escher i think you should go total hair metal 80s mode on them i mean those ladies do use enough aquanet on thier hair. they should take stock in that company

@vik, the mustang would definitely be modified Orky style. There's not enough guns right now. The model comes in the colored plastics, so no painting was involved. I know his attention span isn't there yet.
As for your approval, it's helped me out slot and I appreciate it. When I think something's done and I post it you usually suggest something which helps me to improve. I think most of dakka recognizes it, even if they don't credit you with it.
Those brats deserved it I'd grill them again in a heart beat.
I love the Harley Quinn outfit as well . But I don't have the hands yet to pull off the diamond pattern, I know there's a name for it but my mind doesn't have the power right now to search for it.

Majority of the basement is rearranged, now the next month I'll be trying to find everything again. I like the new setup as I have lots more space and a t.v. Hooked up
