Hopefully better than the last one. I am considering dropping the minor victory/defeat and leaving a "draw" in its place. Of course it would be smaller than it is now.

I like the minor defeat/victory. You can still make progress with them, or not lose much. But, for the sake of trying new things, say I'm trying to assassinate Edgar, and roll a draw. What would happen? I'm curious as to how it can be a draw without it being a minor victory/defeat in all but the name, if that makes any sense.

It gets too fuzzy when I have to come up with minor victories or minor defeats, but I can do a draw, where something bad happens to the enemy and something bad happens to you.

So, in that particular case, Edgar would be shot and then the Kroot assassin would be mugged? The nice part about a minor victory would be the Kroot would escape, but probably be injured. The defeat means someone dies, and I won't like who. I'm not complaining though, I rolled, and got a defeat. It seems like draws are going to be very bloody rolls...

I like the minors. It may be that you win a small tactical gain but no strategic loss or gain so the victory changes none of the larger picture.

Just a skirmish victory.

Agreed. Minor victories work best for situations which simply can't work as draws (eg. assassinating a target)

With the minors, you can win, but lose heavy casualties, or lose, but not lose many men. It's just like how the major means you lose either hardly any men or most of them.

Also, 56+ major defeat? As in, anywhere between 45-55 can't be a major defeat?
I'm not sure if this was noticed, but now people can guarantee that they never get a major defeat without modifiers? Is that intentional?

I haven't incorporated modifiers yet and I won't unless I can come up with some good negative ones.

I would Include one or the other, not both.

I would hold off on 3 factions. Most people aren't even doing two.

A little. If I can come up with negative modifiers that can make it so you will be "majorly defeated" within 50, maybe 40 or 30 for the most severe cases, but then add some positive modifiers to counter act it.
