Hey guys!
I started building my imperial fists for 30k about a year ago and have slowly been making progress. All of my friends still play 40k and my main battles will be against tau, necrons, an eldar/deldar mix, csm nurgle, imperial guard and khorne demons.
I've kept it fluffy but i need to add in a bit of anti tank/mc. I have the castellum with no guns so far so i'd like to get some ideas. I won't always have the castellum in my lists but its so dang fluffy to have these guys in a fortification.
So far i have
30 breachers
5 man templar brethren
A box of calth. Dread has a talon and the bolter type gun that came with it. The termies have a mix/mash of stuff to try it out. Most of the marines have bolters

So thats my fists so far. I need to pick a tank or a dread for some anti mc/armor and consider a weapons load out for the castellum.

I don't know anything about the new pattern dreads that have come out how do they compare against a Legion Sicaran?

I plan to be pretty defensive with this army since i've always played assault lists.

Get a sicarian and 3 raiper mortars.

If you're running into a bunch of hard to kill MCs/GMCs its pricey point wise, but a seige claw Leviathan will make short work of them, Easy, And it fits the Fists

Also a Typhon is very -very- anti tau and eldar (But this is an -extreme- choice)

Medusas with Phosphex shells are awesome marine (And hordes in general) killers, and can do a number on things like necrons with the basic shells.

The castellum weapons can be pretty nasty.

It sounds like you have a lot of bolters, so I'd say lascannons for the eemplacements - you don't need dakka, multimeltas lack range (bad for fixed guns on a building) and armoured ceramite is a thing on a lot of key targets.

Make sure you get the signal jammer as that keeps drop pods at bay (a bit)

Sicarian are nasty, but remember the castellums forcefield gates affect outgoing fire as well as incoming - barrages don't have that problem, so a Scorpius whirlwind might be a nice option as you have somewhere safe to park it...
