I recently read about FLG bringing up a proposal to allow walkers to be able to repair an Immobilized result.

nice idea, will help out against Grav and make them a little more worth taking.

Why not try something a little different.

Walkers are more mobile and agile than other vehicles. Why not give Walkers the same Terrain cover save that Infantry and MCs get?

Walkers would be able to take cover in the fluff…why not allow them to gain ruin covers and tree covers?

Walkers may be more agile than vehicles, however I don't see a dreadnought having the ability to crouch down behind some rocks, or dodge through terrain. Their limited agility is represented with the front armor in CC, but they are still bulky big slow cumbersome warmachines.

The Agile walkers are MCs, to show how agile they are, like the wraithknight and riptide. Both are at least some part machine, but more agile than your boxy sentinel or dreadnought.

Our local store played it this way ever since 6th (as a misreading of the rules rather than deliberately making walkers suck less) until only a month ago. Walkers were still rarely taken, but were passable when they did hit the field. Becomes a bit broken on Imperial Knights though.
