I second the above. Pyroclasts are gorgeous models and are cool on the tabletop. If you want to go for fluffy then buy some thunder hammers to upgrade the calth termies to the Salamander specific ones, throw then in either a Landraider or beef them up and take a Spartan.
I think flamestorm cannon predators fit the fluff for Sallies. Maybe some Rhino's (just buy the GW ones to save cash) to get your tac squads some mobility. It's pretty much up to you, which units you think look cool and fit the theme of your army.
