So did we lose the more specialized Infinity subforums? I only dabble hereabouts, feel free to delete or move this if I missed something.

So I'm working on finishing off my existing USAriadna Ranger Force figures and wanted to 'complete the set' so to speak. I don't have to stick within CB minis because I mostly paint but if I were to buy an Infinity figure to represent the Wardriver mercenary hacker, who should I use? I'm a little behind in the lore but maybe someone from Corregidor or Haqquislam? I could pretty easily slap some hacker goggles/hacking tool onto a ghulam or alguacile and I already have those. Got a spiffy conversion of your own to show off? I'm all eyes

Liable to default to one of the options I mentioned above, but I'd hate to accidentally commit some sort of lore atrocity on accident. Really need to get around to reading up on all the new stuff.

The Druze Hacker from HSN3 is generic enough that she'd work fine.

The big thing to remember is that you want a model that is generic with no real factiony bits, at least IMO.

I was also about to recommend the Druze Hacker, but that depends on if you pre ordered HSN3. Another potential is the generic Authorised Bounty Hunter, since pretty much no one uses them anyway. Most people won't even know what model it is.

And yeah, yakface and legoburner did a cleanup of the underused forums. We're lucky that we even kept this forum - a lot of smaller games got lumped together in combined subforums.

I am in the same situation as you, I am avoiding the Druze due to the bad blood between Ariadna locals and Druze from the Commercial Conflicts.

I was lucky enough to get an Antipode Handler without the three Antipodes and I am using her as my Wardriver. I figure the datapad is a suitably low tech hacking device. No holograms for this little black duck.

I doubt I'll be in time to snag a limited edition figure as if I get the book it would be for xmas or similarly late in the year etc.

That antipode handler is pretty awesome for the stand in, but she's probably no easier to get on her own.

Either spec has a boarding shotgun which makes my old 3-to-a-blister Ghulam a bit suspect. Their clothing, when painted in the same color scheme as my Grunts, would be similar-yet-different enough to tie them in yet keep them looking separate. Maybe the female sculpt, give her some form of shotgun slung over her shoulder and maybe work out a hacking device from extra bits (maybe those Tau guys had something she could borrow) with the arm to hold it negotiated from the wargames factory survivor sprues... I guess I could get her shotgun there too really..

If you want someone with the BS and just glue some tau bits you can fall back to my original plan for the Wardriver.

We can't use Uxia in USAriadna so give her a little antenna on her backpack and maybe an optic or datapad and boom!


Though admitted I just want to add an Uxia to my force as something, I really like her models. Considered making her my 122 as well to get away from the FRRM look and healing axe.

Just a FYI:
I ordered a copy of Human Sphere from The Warstore last week. My copy arrived with a Druze Hacker today.

So they, until they run out, are shipping them with models.

Yeah I think icestorm and the USARF box seemed like they were that way too, hate to gamble on it but if I end up with the extra model someday I won't complain

Oh don't worry about having no use for Uxia - you'll be playing Vanilla Ariadna in no time. Corvus Belli has taken a hint from pushers of the past - the first hit is free, and Sectorials are a gateway drug if I've ever seen one.

I do that with some factions but so far no worries with other flavors of Ariadna.

Lucien Sforza is growing on me too now. Wrong gun but he could hacking just as easy as he's pointing... could fix his gun or just consider it a fancy modded BS. Choices choices.

Couldn't you use Isobelle from the Ariadna Dire Foes box as a Wardriver? I mean, that's pretty much what she is anyway.

Spent an hour or two last night modding my old ghulam trio into war driver, dozer, and 112. Also co-opting a azra'il for a black jack. May use Sforza as unknown Ranger...

I am using Uxia with BSG. She looks enough like a hacker anyway. And if I ever start a good ol' scotland army that is one less model.
