I've always loved the Macharius Vulcan model and also it's stat block. When a friend gave me a second hand Land Raider for my birthday I decided to chop it up along with another Raider I had laying around. This is the result.

This tank has seen many tours of duty as can be seen by the extensive art that has been done by the crew.
The main reason it has survived this long is thanks to the armour plating added to its tracks.
The crew are particularly zealous and have erected a shrine on the side of the tank, bearing purity seals and sacred candles.

I don't even know what a Macharius etc. is, but the model is fantastic.

So the hull and turret are Mecharius, but the tracks/sidearmor are extended Landraider tracks?

That is really fantastic modeling and the paintwork is great as well.

You really worked a lot of character into the model, well done!

No, as he said its just built out of the two landraiders. And likely plasticard of course.

It is really impressive how close you came to an actual Macharius. With the "track guards" it also reminds me a bit of a Stormfang btw (the spacewolves flyer).

Fantastic stuff!

Nice conversion there- it really looks like a stock model rather than a kitbash.

And it is a good looking tank. Plus, I've always loved the Lord Commander Solar Macharius fluff, and I feel this tank is deserving of his namesake.
