I've recently started painting Crimson Slaughter Chaos Space Marines. I've wanted to try my hand at more ambitious conversions and working with Green Stuff. At the same time I've wanted to have some unique themed army for my Crimson Slaughter force. I decided to model four converted CSM Lords to lead my army (One Lord for each Chaos God). I also wanted to the CSM Lord's to be themed on the Biblical Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse.

The first lord was the Horseman of Pestilence, which I thought themed really well with Nurgle. I'm scratch building a Palanquin of Nurgle for him still, but the actual Lord is completed. I used a converted Gutrot Spume Warhammer model as the base and added some additional parts from Chaos Space Marines, IoM Space Marines, Tyranids, and some Green Stuff. the model has Nurgle's Rot weeping out of his eye sockets, as well as the eye sockets of all the skulls

If you're interested in the blog you can take a peek here. The Tzeentch Horseman of Death is a WIP, and the Khorne Horseman of War will be starting shortly. In between this the mounts are being scratch built or hacked together from existing pieces.

Awesome conversion!

The only poorly painted miniature is the one that is not painted.
