So a psychology professor gave his 2-year old the "Trolley Problem", which is a well-known ethical thought experiment. Basically, it lays out that you can choose to let a trolley go on its path and hit 5 people, or change it so that it only hits 1. The ethical side being if a person is okay actually deciding to hit one person, or preferring to sit back and let it hit 5.
His kid had a unique solution...
I think he has a bright future in Trump's campaign team.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights! The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.
This is socialism in its purest form. If someone's gonna get hit by a train, by God EVERYBODY GETS HIT BY THE TRAIN

IIRC, my son's "solution" to a similar problem was for the train to hit one, then back up, switch tracks, and hit the other obstacle.
FWIW, that's basically all that happens on Thomas anyway - the trains fight, routinely fail to deliver cargo on time, and fall off the track every episode.
“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

My favorite story as a child was the one where James throws a tantrum and refuses to leave a tunnel, blocking it. Their response is to wall him into the tunnel and isolate him until he repents.
Looking back, that story has a strange moral to be telling a six year old.
Been recycled every election.
The alternate slogan for the elect Cthulhu campaign is:
No More Years.

That is a little unfair. The child was playing and likely didn't occur to him that it was an ethical exercise. I would trust the 'ethics' of an infant over a pre-teen.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Yeah. I'll worry when the kid starts butchering small animals. Fisher-Price violence is a victimless crime
EDIT: Speaking of, I'd question the entire idea of being able to test moral dillemas in a lab setting. Maybe I just don't understand the purpose of the research, but it seems to me some lofty thinking to expect most people to act at all in a moment of crisis they are unprepared for, let alone make a rational decision.

A two year old plays with a train set and decides upon the outcome by which six of his tyoy people get run over by the train rather than the options of one or five.
I really do hope that Dakka holds this lightly, because if that is used as a measure of thr quality of the two year old, what does it say about us.
So six meeples died in the train wreck.
That is just over half a squad of ablative IG that a savvy Dakkaite will throw under the Tyranid or CSM rape train just to ensure we get an extra turn of shooting.
What monsters we all are.

I think we're all just having a laugh, dude.

Except 2 year isn't likely grasping such a concept as death so for him it was play seeing bricks fly around.

Their sacrifice was for the Emperor, and we enable it, that their comrades may rain righteous vengeance upon the heretic and the xenos; thus, we are just and noble.
This renegade tech-priest's misuse of railway assets and casual disregard for hive workers is a blatant attempt at sabotaging production quotas, and should be treated as such, incredulous 'uh-oh' or not!
or alternatively if you want to be a bit more serious about it. Stop using deterministic rail systems when instead you could use free-ranging cars. Remove fate and replace it with free-will.
