As the title says I'm new to aos and would like some input on the following bonesplitterz list. I don't need it to be tournament standard, just don't want to get curb stomped every game

Savage big boss
Savage big boss
Wardokk
Maniak Weirdnob

30 savage orruks, banner, drummer, spears
30 savage orruks, banner, drummer, spears
30 savage orruks, banner, drummer, spears
30 savage orruk arrowboys
30 savage orruk arrowboys

Kunnin' ruk
Kunnin' ruk

One arrowboy unit in each ruk so I can potentially shoot with both units in the hero phase and again in the shooting phase, for a potential 360 shots a turn. Thoughts?

While not as cheesy as it is at 1000 points, Kunnin Rukk is pretty much considered to be an unfun strategy as you will either completely crush your opponent without effort or he will bring a hard counter and you will have no chance.

Many people will play you once with this list and then refuse to play you again, I suspect.

You'd do fine taking this to a tournament. In a casual setting it's way too good. Kunnin' Rukk is massively op and a lot of armies just.wont be able to deal with this.

As they said above. Those kunnin'rukk formations will give you a few games, most likely stomp the opposition into the ground so hard that you don't even need to use skill for the win.

And then you will notice how no one will play you again, unless forced to in a tournament.

That is ofc, if someone doesn't have a hard counter ready for you.

There isn't a hard counter for Kunnin Rukk :(

I dunno. I have a hard time imagining Kunnin Rukk beating a Herald of Nurgle and 180 plaguebearers. Any army focused around 2+ rerollable saves on non-monsters would also likely be very, very good against Kunnin' Rukk as the list tends to lack rend.

Your list is essentially tournament standard anyway.

Possibly the only counter I can think of would be 2 vanguard wings.
Deploy in cover then boost the prosecutors forward, dropping liberators in charge range 1st turn.
Been having a stormcasts player do that to me and there's really nothing you can do about it except lose a ton of models then try and recoup from the loss off 2 of your units.

I've also played against my 1st kunnin rukk list today.
Only 30 arrow boys though.
Simply used mystic shield on a mourngul and teleported him forwards for a 1st turn charge on them.
That mixed with fell bats chewed through it fast enough for me.

Granted its low points in damage done, but it saved losing 2 units per turn.

Which lists are actual hardcounters? I can only imagine list that make it a somewhat fair fight.

Ok obviously I should've read the next replies before posting.. sorry for that

I do not know much armies with 2+ rerollable saves on non monsters... but I would like to know.. who can get it and what way?

Plaguebearer spam really isn't going to work against Kunnin' Rukk since even with a locus source (that is going to be shot to death anyway) they are a 5+ save rerolling just 1's, then a 5+ resilience roll. Its nice but not against the number of wounds a Kunnin' Rukk will put out. Plus, a full Kunnin' list just needs about 1000 points to fill out the battalion leaving the rest for literally any other Destruction stuff (since the Rukk will include the battleline anyway). This isn't to say there's no way to fight such lists and there are decent soft counters but there's nothing that negates or seriously hampers it short of a lucky kill on the big boss turn 1.

The reason why I suggest plaguebearers is that enemies have -2 to hit them with shooting attacks. Savage Arrer Boys hit on a 5+ already, so they literally can't hit Plaguebearers at all without some sort of hit bonus. IIRC the bonuses that usually show up in these lists involve rerolling 1's or generating new attacks on 6's.

I'm honestly not sure, but I'm pretty certain that it's possible. IIRC there are some seraphon and maybe stormcast combinations that do this, but I'm not 100% certain of the details.

Derp, forgot about the hit penalty. That would negate the shooting aspect but with Kunnin' Rukk allowing movement or extra pile-in instead its not a game killer. Nice soft counter though.
