Quick question for anyone who's watched the Babylon Squared episodes of Babylon 5. In the first flashback Garibaldi is seen holding some kind of unusualy large PPG weapon. Does anyone have any kind of idea what weapon this is canonically? In the Babylon 5 security manual there is mention of some kind of PPG grenade launcer but the book is highly inaccurate and the grenade launcher has a different appearance.

There were a couple different PPG rifles shown, but they never gave any details on these as far as I can recall.

It looks and acts like a squad level machine gun. I don't think its seen again in the series.

Wasn't it the same prop from the pilot episode?

Don't think so. As I recall the weapons in the pilot had an entirely different design and weapons fire to the rest of the series.
