I was recently looking at certain models on their online store and I noticed that KV128 Stormsurge is now $150
I bought it for a friend last Christmas and I swear I got it for under $100 with the 20% discount from a retailer.
Has anything changed recently?

Brexit.
Also Trump; I understand the $US is now as bad as £Sterling.

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement. |

Nope. The prices haven't changed, they announce those in advance.
You probably got it during another sale period coupled with the 20% discount from a retailer.

Obligatory "check you're on the right nationality page". You didn't come in here screaming bloody murder so I know you're not on the Aus or NZ page, but it's still possible that you're not looking at the right nationality.

I'm guessing you got it during another sale period; I remember it being $150 and I don't see anything else that's changed since the last time I bought it.

This, and...

That.
The "nationality page" thing has thrown me for a loop twice, but NEVER AGAIN
Regardless, nice grab being able to get a Stormsurge for under $100

White Dwarf Weekly 88 (3 October 2015) has the Stormsurge's preorder price at $150 US.

If the prices changed in the US as a result of Brexit they'd get cheaper, not more expensive.

That'd be true *eventually* but they probably have a non-trivial inventory to shift before either internal ordering or re-casting. Shoring up short term profits with a covert price raise wouldn't be beyond their track record at this point.

Which would have nothing to do with brexit. In fact, they are already making more from USD sales thanks to the exchange rate shift from brexit (each dollar is worth more pounds).

Wrong on both counts keep up the rhetoric though
Automatically Appended Next Post: I just checked, after Trump was elected as President the US Dollar actually went up in value not down. At the moment the dollar is the highest its been since last year

can already confirm that neither brexit nor trump have caused the rise in prices, or any rise for that matter, lets keep political banter outta the hobby if we can.
To the OP, its worth noting that a lot of retailers, that arnt GW, will sell at 20%~25% off box price to begin with.

To many unpainted models to count. |
