Hi all, got a small tournament coming up and actually wanted to get some use from my daemons for the first time.
Hoping for some input on the list.
All in all the speed from the units is amazing, mixed with run and charge ontop of that, it should have a few 1st turn charges going off.
I also like the mortal wound potential from everything on a chariot chassis, which should help against the more elite units.
So, 2k fast paced list with plenty of bodies:
Keeper of secrets
Herald on exalted seeker chariot
20 Daemonettes
20 Daemonettes
20 Daemonettes
10 Seekers
5 Seekers
Hellflayer
Hellflayer
Hellflayer
Seeker chariot
Seeker chariot
Seeker chariot
2,000 points perfectly.
The 5 seekers are simply a fast chaff unit, while the unit of 10 can be shielded then use the keepers command ability for piling in and attack twice.
Essentially I should be able to get a first turn charge on any unit I choose and do enough damage to kill it or at the very least, severely cripple it.
Need some C&C though as I haven't used daemons yet.
Just a shame that fiends are stupidly ineffective in AoS :(

Daemonettes, and other daemonic 'troops' should never be run in units of 20. At 10 they are the cheapest for meeting requirements while at 30 they are the most points efficient due to size-based bonuses. So I would say run the daemonettes as 30, 30, 10 which also makes the former two units very good targets for the keeper's command ability. It also seems like you have all the components of a Daemon Cohort of Slaanesh battalion, which would be a good thing to add for some nice little bonuses as well as the extra artifact. Consider putting the hellflayers into a single unit so that they can all be affected by the keeper's command ability at once; on the turn they charge they'll almost certainly be getting rerolls on hit/wound so being able to attack twice in that phase can be devastating.
Looking at the list overall, its very fast and glass-cannon-ey. You are going to use these units like rockets; fire them towards an enemy where they kill stuff and then die to the inevitable counterattack. By capitalizing on your keeper's command ability this can be a very powerful strategy. However, this is going to be a tricky army to play with so I HIGHLY recommend getting as many practice games in as you can.
Good luck sir!

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.
I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games. |

Cheers Ninth, I always appreciate your help.
I did mess up with the unit sizes badly.
I wanted to fill the requirements but have enough there to actually reach the enemy without being shot to pieces first.
So if I add in another 10 nettes and the cohort is it worth dropping the 5 seeker unit and a normal chariot to free up these points?
And I understand it's very much a glass cannon army, I mainly fight stormcasts and bloodbound.
So in essence I need to cripple units to make sure I don't get shredded in return.
Will be weird using a defenceless army though as I mainly run beastclaw now.
And on that note, I know one of the players in this tournament is running beastclaw.
So that will possibly be my biggest issue I think.
I need to be able to cripple the monsters as soon as I can.
Mainly getting thundertusks down a few brackets so I'm not soaking 6 mortal wounds per ice throw.
The stonehorns shouldn't be as bad since I'll be charging them hopefully, so the D6 mortal wounds shouldn't be too many issues.
They do greatly reduce my ability to cause mortal wounds though due to small unit size.

I would keep the 5 seeker unit because their ability to shoot an average of 21" across the board can be extremely useful for objective grabbing. Dropping seeker chariots would be a better idea, I think.

That's true actually, I forgot about objectives to be perfectly honest.
I guess the 5 seekers is a small target too, so shouldn't take too much hassle to begin with, hopefully letting me hunt warmachines with them.
So I'll drop 2 seeker chariots for the formation and 10 more daemonettes, letting me run them at 30/30/10 for better bonus's.
