Talking to the local GW employee, this Saturday is supposed to see a new round of Made to Order models go up. Hidden among the chaff is the Juan Diaz daemonettes and daemonettes riding seekers. Upon discovering this I have forsaken all future monetary obligations, sold the house, the car, the wife, and the kids and pulled a few tricks on the side of the road all in preparation for an army truly fit for Slaanesh.

Anyone else taking this reasonable step this weekend as well?

I managed to ge my hands on some Juan Diaz Daemonettes on ebay for a reasonable price and now I have one of each pose, which I've decided to settle for.

The seekers on the other hand are still missing in my collection...

New Zealand has them already on the site

Had my £300 sat here since the start of last week when it was just a rumor.
Just waiting for them to be available now.

Easily the best daemon models ever made.

I'd love to see the numbers on this Made to Order batch when it's all said and done. I imagine it's going to be a huge amount of orders.

I wish the old bloodletters had made it. I loved those models. FAR more menacing than the current ones.

Totally disagree on this one. The original bloodletters (and their new form in the plastics) were weird and disturbing, while the inbetween bloodletters that had axes just looked like khorne beastmen to me.

Personally I think the current plastic bloodletters are the only ones of the 4 that actually improved the design that came before.
New plague bearers are nice, but they aren't an overall improvement over the old ones.
New Horrors are disgusting ape things that have nothing (except ease of building) over the old metal ones.
New daemonettes are bland and static compared to the Juan ones.

But to each their own. I will say that the old axe bloodletters don't look bad, I just think they make for poor demons.

I'm with hulk on the blood letters.
Carry khorne signature weapon and look strong enough to swing it.

For war daemons the new one look too thin and wirey lol.
I know they look closer to the originals, but still prefer axe guys.

Previous metal horrors all the way.
Diaznettes no contest
New plaguebearers now though for nurgle.

I am one of those weirdos who vastly prefers the new plastic slaanesh daemons, so good to go here.

Haha, the new ones aren't bad, they just don't compete with the Diaz ones in my eyes.

Once they finally hit the site and I place my order I'll more than likely pick someone at random and do a giveaway of the new plastics I got lol.
While I like them, the chance to finally complete my Diaz army is too much.
So I won't need anymore hopefully after this.

The price for the girls here in Canada is actually quite reasonable.....goodbye self-restraint.

Pretty sad when we think these prices are reasonable when just 2 or 3 years ago we were complaining how high these prices were.

As for me, I can't bother. While it is tempting to do, I can't bother since who knows what direction GW is going with Slannesh. (spelling?) I wanted to start an army like this, but not knowing the future I will not bother.

I am thinking of getting just Seekers from the current Diaz offer, and going Raging Heroes for the daemonette infantry.

Those Preying Mantis models are more detailed than the Diaz daemonettes (plus, with a command group too), and more dynamic than the current GW plastics.

The instant I saw that the Juan Diaz Daemonettes were available on the website I just had to buy a squad of them.
Will I actually use them? Debatable, but I just like these minis so much better than the plastic ones.

Having just painted a slaanesh army that includes every generation of the daemonettes, I have to say that I think the plastic ones are the best. As single models the Diaznettes are nice, but in a group they are bit lacking as practically they all are in the same pose. Also they are in bit different scale as rest of the Warhammer range as they are more realistic instead of heroic scale. Stylewise the oldest version is my favourite, but the new version captures the design quite well. Then there are also the big crab claw nettes, which also have their own charm...

Having said that, I happened to visit the local wh-store on Saturday and I had to order a unit of Diaz seekers, just to make the collection a little bit more complete

I've got 5 of them.
Never played chaos, never wanted to. Only ever liked those particular models. Even if I never use them

Might give them angel wings and paint them up as the harpy from Devilman, though.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
