So, im used to limited releases selling out the first few days of its pre-release. It seems Wrath has yet to sell out. Perhaps my information is incorrect (and if it is, feel free to berate me for a useless post). Do you think the low sales are due to faction not-being popular or is it bad leaked rules or perhaps is it that people are saving money for the mini release and or the upcoming Legion supplement? Are limited runs even something to look at to ponder overall sales? Either way, I was hoping for better sales because it would give GW more incentive to support CSM.

Well, the question would really be how e-Books and hardback copies are selling then, wouldn't it?
CSM have a lot of books right now, and I don't think people are too enthusiastic about getting another collector's copy of a book that may either a) suck or b) be obsolete in a year when GW introduced 40k end times.

Good points. At some point GW is going to hit a wall with this strategy of supplement spam. Esp for CSM. I myself am already on the fence about getting Warth or just waiting for legions. Regardless, it will be the last two book or books I buy before end times/ 8th/

Thousand Sons, while one of the most popular legions if the 10 billion polls over the years are to be believed, have had terrible rules for well over a decade now with their current rules meaning that they compete for the title of wone of the worst units in the game. It's no great surprise that people have either shifted away from a Thousand Sons force over the years orare simply hesitant to buy a collectors edition when rules leaks revealed that absolutely nothing at all was done to fix them when this was the perfect chance to do so.
All that is before the price hike that we've seen for the last couple of special editions too. Here in Aus, the LE TSons book is $335 AUD while as a point of comparison, a normal bog standanrd CSM codex goes for $83 AUD. However you slice it, that's a large amount of cash, even at australia's normally inflated prices and few people are going to get excited at the idea of paying almost 2 Imperial knights worth for a bad supplement to a bad codex that's probably going to be obsolete in less than a year, not to mention rumours that all the rules from WoM will be in the traitor legions book coming out next week for less than 1/3rd of the price of the collectors edition along with rules for the other 8 traitor legions.
Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous looking set and as a Thousand Sons fanboy, I will admit to being far more tempted than I should have been to get myself a copy of the LE, but at this point, I'm glad I didn't as I'm not sure if I'll even bother getting the WoM at all as the formations are all garbage and the decurion options are all horribly overpriced with poor benefits that aren't really worth giving up ObSec, nor the buid freedom on my regular Thousand Sons CAD forces where I'm not forced to take horrendously overpriced terminators instead of actually useful units to offset how terrible my Troop Thousand Sons are.

I'd also wager that since a limited edition costs more...some people may be holding onto their money for all of the new models.
I don't need a fancy book, etc.

Rumors of 8th being around the corner kind of kills any boner you would get for a collectable book that might be obsolete in as few as 6 months.

At the time of the posting it was not sold out. Kinda glad to see it did in a weird sorta unlogical way. Im not sure the demon rules will be included in the legions supplement. And thats the best part of the update. Heres to horror spam!

I generally don't buy collectors editions from GW when buy rule books and supliments, they generally don't have enough to justify the insane price. At this point I also almost always buy the digital editions as that is way more convenient to carry around and they update with FAQs.

I can give a general answer, since the last codex I bought was Eldar 7th (because I knew was good, even too much, and partially I wanted one in french, as in CH I bought the IG one in german for 6th edition - the latter I deeply regret). GW books are not worth buying in general; the fluff is abysmal, the rules worse and they are phasing out the old, high quality illustrators for Deviant Art tier stuff (not always, but more often than not). With a tendency from GW part to invalidate books on a whim, I cannot for the life of me understand how someone could buy a GW book in special edition. I just cannot. So I am not surprised this time, I am surprised when these overpriced things are bought en masse.
