Hi I am wanting to make a WW2 imperial guard army. so from what i know a good way to do it is to gets krieg and green stuff tin hats on. any recommendations or other ways to do this idea / project?

The scale will be an issue with a lot of stuff, but Perry makes plastic WW2 brits with similar helmets. You could look at Victoria Miniatures as a lot of her ranges are inspired by British or colonial forces (including Aussies with slouch caps etc.)

Use anvil industries New Brodie helmets when they release. And if you want to use FW stuff centaurs make for lovely bren gun carriers.

My solution [for what its worth] would be to use Cadian torso's with Catachan legs. Bretonian heads would complete the look as UK troops all usually wore tin hats

I highly recommend using the stock Imperial Guard with some custom bits from Mad Robot Miniatures and Victoria Miniatures. Also, it's always a good option to look for images of similar proyects, they always give you a clue on how to start custom armies
