Soooo while the imperial forces and the chaos forces battles in cadia and in other systems what will the xeno races do?
What will be the next story development for them?

Hard to say, really.
Historically it would've been "suck and die" due to the staunch favoritism for the Imperium but GW seems to be turning over a new leaf lately so there's really no telling what they'll do with Xenos.

Tyranids will keep on nomming.
Necron will keep on waking up.
Eldar will keep on contemplating their navels (if they have them).
Squats will keep on {redacted}
Genestealer Cults will keep on growing.
Dark Eldar will keep on killing.
Orks will keep on fightin'.
Tau will be all, woo they aren't looking at us anymore, lets expand and bring the greater good to everyone, and build more biggerer robot suits.

If AoS is any guide they're going to squat real Eldar and they'll be replaced with the Wraithguard army.

I doubt that highly, given how powerful the Eldar currently are in terms of rules. While I think some things from AoS are coming to 40k, largely I believe the game will remain the same. Taking the positives and cleaning up the rules bloat seems to be the hinted major focus.

I think he meant because Eldrad's ritual was supposed to use the souls that were held in the Infinity Circuits at the time, and if they were all used up there would be nothing left to put in the Wraithguard.
Basically, Death Masque was really bloody stupid and it would better for all involved if it was ignored forever.

I'm really not sure what to expect regarding the Xenos races but I'm not convinced I'll enjoy the arc that Imperial/Chaos are to follow and I'm even more sceptical about the so-called NPC factions. Hopefully it'll be interesting and we'll all get a moment in the sun but as it stands it seems a lot like the Horus Heresy (read: Marines everywhere!) will seep into 40k. Fingers crossed no factions are removed or beloved characters killed but I do expect some marginalisation and lacklustre development. I'm being a terrible cynic but it's because I prefer 40k to be a setting rather than a developing story.

He broke the infinity matrix too, so it's not like they can add recently dead eldar either...
I can see why people would be worried about HH seeping into 40k - HH has been a liscence to print money for them, which would lead them to. Believe people want more marines.

FTFY Nah in seriousness I think the Eldar will be tied into both the Fall of Cadia, and maybe whatever happens between the Sisters and the Dark Eldar (if the rumours of the 8th boxed set are true). Maybe Orks vs Nids in the Octarius system? That leaves Tau and Necrons. Oh god...the Necrons are going to team up with the Blood Angels again to save Cadia and its Necron Pylons. I'm out.

The Fall of Ulramar. Tau allied (kinda) with Necrons and some possible Dark Eldar help will strike the realm of ultramar. The Ultramarines taxed to the limit from Chaos insurgents/fighting collapse and manage a fighting retreat and survive thanks to an awakened primarch but lose the sector.
Or some variation of this. Even if its a four way split between the factions who take it down. Mark my words.
Tau also seem likely to leap ahead in warp travel capability. It's been a plot point for so long keeping them penned up is their lack of long range and fast ftl.
In the east the Tau are going to have to go on the defensive against the Nids for sure. Necrons are going to start considering Tau the most suitable biological entity for harvesting and conversion back into biological. War will likely erupt. Dark Eldar doing Dark Eldar shenanigans. Basically they become a true space empire. Either Shadowsun or Farsight has to die and then introduce their kid.

And squatting the living models and replacing them with the wraith units would be deleting a bunch of 3/4e-vintage models and building an army off the 6e-vintage models.

Was Eldrad literally the only creature capable of making Wraith constructs? How did he possibly find time for his Farseer duties given the workload he must have had supplying all Eldar forces with Wraith constructs?
Or is his presence in the battle only tangentially-related, and a central power source that makes Wraith constructs possible was lost during the battle, with Eldrad's only relevance to the loss of Wraith constructs merely that he was a notable Eldar character in the battle?

I'm not an expert on Eldar lore but how it was explained to me by an Eldar player is that the dead spirits are placed into these constructs like wraith knights.
There are now no more of them if I recall correctly since they were used up trying to create Ynead and back fired. The circuits got burned out. Now the confusing thing is are the souls still trapped in the damage infinity circuit or not? I'm not sure.
Newly deceased Eldar for sure can't enter it so the plan to resurrect Ynead or empower the shard that did manage to possibly escape is impossible and means eventually even if there are existing souls left they will run out of souls.
There could also be unforeseen consequences to the souls themselves from the huge psychic backlash and this might affect the plot and/or the ability to create them.
Right now I don't think we know enough to say. I suspect we'll know very soon since they kind of phrased some words on yesterdays interview about Fall of Cadia and hinted/implied all the races would have something to do this year. People are taking that to mean all races getting at least something this year, but it could just as likely be the rumored global campaign.

I, uh, think you need to clarify something for me.
What exactly can Eldar soulstones not be used for that means they can no longer be used to control Wraithbone constructs? Why do existing constructs not become inert? Does it affect Eldar vehicles as well, since they use the soulstones of their fallen soldiers in place of computer AI? Are soulstones now useless entirely, so that Eldar who die are now fed to Slaanesh rather than having their souls trapped in a gem to preserve them?

The problem is not with ELdrad or other elder not having the ability to create wraith constructs but that they need souls taken from the infinity circuit to animate them and at the moment we don't know if there are any left.
Eldrad is destined to "die" during the end times when he confronts the dark prince at the heart of one of the blackstone fortresses. Whether this was to try and make up for his "big mastake" or part of some larger plan is also unknown.
Am I afraid that the whole faction will be removed from the game, no but do I think that large sections of the faction are going to be removed, yes. Why becouse it means that they can remove the old fine-cast models without needing to replace them, but maybe that's just me being overly cynicale.

Uhh... Do the writers remember how Eldar soulstones work? And that Eldar are a long-lived but not immortal race that is a biological life form, thus they have a continual resupply of dead Eldar to provide new souls for the constructs? And that Eldar civilization is spread out so far that there's no way they're all getting their Wraith constructs from the same place, and are in fact making their own on each individual craftworld?

This all depends on the state of the infinity circuit after the failed ritual. It could be that they can take freshly arrived souls and put them into new wraith constructs but that also means that they are being diverted from other rital areas, but if the infinity circuit has been shut down as has been highly implicated then they would have to rely upon freshly harvested soul stones which would be a very slow and costly process which given the impending end times might not be anywhere near fast enough to replace their losses. We can only wait and see.

The soulstone is the device needed to put the soul in the construct. That is like saying why don't we put the gasoline in the back seat and cut out gas tanks.

Sounds like your bad fan fiction. Tau won't be doing anything major unless it's Farsight, who is supposed to be gearing up to fight Chaos now. Not to mention an Ultramarines and Tau team up is far more likely than a Tau and Necron team up, or Tau and Dark Eldar.
Ultramar is more likely to become the bastion of order once Terra gets ransacked.
I know your rampant Tau fanboyism won't let you accept it, but the Tau are going to be tertiary characters at best for this upcoming campaign and story they are pushing for the next year.
Unless GW really loses the plot and decides the Taus plot armour knows no bounds. Ultramar is probably the third most well defended sector in the Imperium; the Tau couldn't even crack Voltaris.

The construction of any wraith construct requires both the efforts of the bonesingers to create its physical form and the spiritseers to grant it life by infusing it with an eldar soul stone. Could they find a way around this, sure it's possible if the writers want to do it that way but will the eldar have enough time to do so.
