What do you think will happen at the End Times?

The Eye empties.

Abaddon is slain.

But that is no Imperium victory.

For 10,000 years, the Traitors, for the most part, were stymied in either The Eye, or the Maelstrom. That somewhat prevented them doing whatever they wanted - either only small fleets could slip through the Imperial net, or you had to send a much larger fleet, and hope you broke through with enough.

But with the Eye emptied, and no central figurehead to unite the Traitors, the Imperium finds world after world attacked, besieged, turned or what-have-you. The 'Chaos frontier' becomes Galaxy wide, forcing a massive reshaping of The Imperium - where once it was sprawling, it is now smaller, with tightly defended enclaves, forcibly alert for Traitor attacks.

This of course opens the door for the various Xenos to make significant gains...

Everybody is slain. The Galaxy is a dark and silent place... and finally.... Peace!

Man, you know they aren't going to give us such a happy ending.

Abbadon is slain. But not by an imperial. Things turn against Abbadon and another chaos marine stabs him in the back. Maybe the marine does it to advance himself and become more powerful, or maybe the chaos gods abandon Abbadon for his 13th failure and back someone else. But Abbadon dies, the imperium survives but is bloodied and weaker, and there is a new chaos personality to contend with.

Russ comes back, kills off Abbadon and Magnus but in killing one of them loses himself to his anger and the Wulfen Curse to become the new big bad in the universe.
The Space Wolves turn renegade when the Lords of Terra convince the Dark Angels, Astra Militarum, Grey Knights and Inquisition that the Wolves need purging. The Salamanders, Blood Angels and their successor chapters realising their own genetic flaws may be next on the chopping blocks try to defend the Space Wolves by highlighting their honourable service to the IoM, sadly in a heated exchange Dante loses his struggle with the Black Rage and transforms momentarily, putting the Angels and Salamanders on the block with the Wolves.

Nids eat everyone and then go to the next galaxy.

Abaddon kills Emperor, is killed in the process, Emperor is reborn with some taint of Abaddon's soul.. Imperium is reborn with another great crusade but insurrection emerges as not everyone trusts this New Emperor...

What I think will happen: a few key players will die but the general state of the galaxy will remain exactly the same.

What I want to happen:
-Abbadon kills the Emperor.
-The soul of every human is immediately sucked into the Warp and a new Chaos god of oppression, named the Emperor, is born.
-The entire galaxy is engulfed in a warp storm.
-The Emperor and his demons (who take the forms of skeletal angels) go to work bringing the ultimate oppression of death to the rest of the galaxy.
-Tau die.
-Eldar die.
-Orks go "deez 'ere bony gitz iz no fun, letz go n' get us a good foit sumwhere else" and migrate to the Andromeda galaxy.
-Tyranids bugger off.
-Once all life in the galaxy is dead, the gods of Chaos fade into nothingness.
-All alone, the Necrons shrug their shoulders and go back to sleep.

Thus begins the new franchise: Waaghammer Orky K: Andromeda.

Abaddon reaches earth, but fails the kill the Emperor, who transforms into some superbeing. The eye of terror can't be closed, however, but Chaos retreats back's to its edge.

The Astares rebel, forming their own petty empires. Ultramar claims it is the "true" empire, forcing the emperor to start a new crusade to reunite the fractured empire and drive Chaos back. Along the way, he begins picking finding the original primarchs and bringing them to his side.

Eldar and Necrons have a big blowout. The webway is destroyed and has to be abandoned due to the Necron's efforts, but the Eldar unleash a computer virus that destroys a number of Necron tomb worlds or put them back into eternal slumber.

The Tyranids get blunted (mostly by the Necrons, with the Orks helping a bit), most of the fleet being wiped out in the end by a synthetic virus Kryptman had developed (and was augmented by the Necrons) before the survivors adapt to it, leaving pockets of 'Nids based out the Ymargl moons and secret genestealer cults.

Orks are everywhere, getting into any fight they can reach.

The Tau develop even larger walkers and abandon their skimmer vehicles. They eventually develop Warp-capable drives and heal the rift between Tau and the Farsight Enclaves.

The guard is disbanded.

the guard being disbanded strikes me as EXTREMELY unlikely. the guard represents a good force of easily assbmled manpower, even if the IoM falls and it's every world for themselves, guard will represent the defences of most human worlds

The eye expands greatly, causing a mass time warp that shifts the universe clock back to the beginning of the 41st millennium and the fluff starts over

Abbadon wins but then Tyranids eat everything and all Warp entities die. All life cycle starts anew.

In end times, we shouldn't loose any of the protagonists.

Some new forces will be released upon the world such as elder gods, primarg, who knows but there is no happy ending all plans will be ruined in some way.
Known character will be unhappy about the outcome of it all and live to suffer an other day. Obscure characters are likely to die of a murderous plot.

abby blows up terra, warp storms engulfs the galaxy milky way turns into a quasar everything is dead. the emperor rides through the warp on earth's core (the explosion having transporting them both there). an age of chaos ensues. decides after meditating for millennia he reaches godhood, and decides to create a new terra but better so he makes a ring world. he is helped by the necrons who have transcended to an angel like ethereal state because they weren't affected by the warp storms. the dark eldar, harlequins and eldar have been reincarnated as together crystal warrior people made of spirit stone known as the aeldarin. the emperah now creates the thunderspell immortals out of the souls of all the dead ultramarines and other famous dead heroes descended from their ultramarine geneseed.

the new factions are as follows:
forces of faith - made up of the thunderspell immortals, aeldarin, necrons, and khorne daemons
forces of annihilation - which is made up of free traders (former imperial guard, skitarii, imperial agents, adpetus mechanicus, sisters of battle), the taurks (faction made up of the former orks and tau), and genestealer cults
forces of change - made up of nurgle deamons, daemons of slaanesh (now with new fully clothed models!), militarum tempestus, and imperial knights.
forces of determination - damons of tzeentch and thousand sons, omni-eaiungels (with new, and mostly naked, models representing the reincarnted forces of space wolves, blood angels and dark angels!), officio assassinorum, and tyranids.

The eye expands and empties.

Abby reaches Terra and kills the Emperor, who then returns, but is not found or makes himself visible immediately. He is out there, no one knows where.

A ruinstorm descends across the galaxy and the Imperium is sundered.

Chaos and alien incursions and expansion fracture the Imperium, and a new dark age descends.

The Primarchs return, and embark on a quest to find the Emperor and restore the Imperium, embarking on the second Great Crusade.

There are isolated beacons of hope in a galaxy of darkness where the reunited sons go out in search of their lost father.

Abbadon and the Emperor merge to form Aebbadon the Aempurar.

40k will end like Gurren Lagaan, with a giant space marine picking up galaxies and throwing them at the Ruinous Powers in an absurdly ott showdown.

The Tenga-Toppa Space Marine would be too big to make a model. You get its foot instead. For 40k dollars. It's the size of a 4x4 table.
