So with the official death of AC, I'm feeling extreme nostalgia for the mmos of my youth. That said, I know that there are not official servers anymore, but does anyone know of places where private servers are run? Or if it is possible to just play on such a server in a single player mode?

Ultima Online is now offline? That's a shame, the first real MMO I got into (going back 20 years or so)
Unbelievable how harsh that was compared to modern MMOs, being killed and having your stuff permanently stolen by some PK'er - sounds amusing now but there are few upsets like it in the history of gaming!

Ultima Online is not offline. It is still active with events and such.
