Today at GW I used a spearhead formation instead of a squadron unit so invisibility was only cast on a single land raider, mis read the formation and thought it was a unit!

I have 4 Imperial Knights too, just want to check unit composition for the Knights so invisibility goes off for all of them and not just one,

can anyone help?

They're separate units so you'd need to cast it once for each knight.

N0t_u beat me to it.

They are not a unit thus all separate models.
Casting it on 1 would mean only that one gets the benefits.

Last I checked there isn't actually any way to make Imperial Knights squadron such that Invisibility would hit more than one. Off the top of my head the only superheavies that can be squadroned at all are the Malcador (in either the Legion or Solar Auxilia lists), the Lynx (in a specific formation that must be part of a Craftworld Warhost), the Stompa (in an Apocalypse formation), and the Baneblade (in an Apocalypse formation).

There is one Formation that's seen use to make Knight Deathstars - the Tripartiate Lance takes a Warden, Gallant and Crusader and treats them as a single unit.

Just double-checked and apparently yes; most of what I know about the Imperial Knights comes from seeing them as allies and the Questoris list, but there is a formation of three Knights that are treated as a single unit in the 40k Imperial Knights book.
