Wanting to show off the newest addition to my collection.
While I assembled the model, I did pay a local artist whom I trust to paint it. As I didn't feel I could do it justice.

The Titan is named "Celestial Wrath" (Officially Warlord Titan #418)
It has served in two large battles so far. No foe has prevailed against it. Its Volcano and Sunfury cannons removing hordes of xenos abominations in a single volley.

The shields and kneepads look really out of place on an otherwise amazing looking model.

I personally like the little splashes of color on the clean white. Reminds me of a the Supremacy/Purity units in Civ: BE, and Aperture Science.

I agree. I think it creates a good contrast. I think the overall look is really solid. Definitely a worthy paint job for this behemoth!

Wow that is a clean model. The white looks so very smooth. But that gold must have taken days to do. I'd say they are fed up looking at it.

Yup.

Nothing wrong with a splash of colour, but this is just way too out of place.

Love the white, don't love the colour choices on the shields (simply put they're not very complimentary of each other in my eyes).

Love the rest of it though.

If someone described this to me I would have though it would look awful, but I have to say I love the the way it looks. Magical unicorn is a nice touch. I really need to paint mine...

I love the paint job.

The shield and the kneepads don't look out of place, I find them demeaning to one's foes. I could see some grizzled Guardsman coming up and saying "look at the Orks run, that's right, here's the rainbow unicorn that just ate your army!"

The shading at the edges of the white is just perfect.

The one criticism I would have is that Titan looks like he just stepped off the showroom floor. Add some weathering man!

Glorious!

The white is amazingly smooth and consistent and the metal work is lovely. I like the bright spots of color, especially on such a lethal model.

Dear god...

I mean, BY THE EMPEROR!

I too think that the splash of rainbow colours look incredibly fitting to the model's overall look... I wouldn't change a thing! Kudos to the artist, and your skills as a modeller. Blimey, what a beast! Fantastic stuff...

Verdict: 10/10

When depicting any fantastic thing to really have a couple of choices. You can go all hyper realistic and take into account every aspect of the reality this thing might exist in and how that would be reflected in its look. (Weathering, battle damage etc) or you can take the fantasy-extreme approach and just go balls to wall awesome.

This is Titan! In all its glory, awesome, untouchable, the embodiment of magnificence.

I can say your painter has done an epic job on the later. I really like the colours, especially set off against the white. It should stand out, it shouldn't look like everything else on the table top. Its a unique icon of war.

Glad some people got the reference.
The goal was for those "in the know" to get the reference, and for it to be subtle enough for most people to overlook it.

Major credit to my artist. The armor plates turned out better then I could have hoped for.
