Hi all, ages back I built my own little skaven titan from an assortment of parts I had to hand.
This was a somewhat long process but worth every minute.

However, before I could start painting it my dog decided to take it from the paint table and into the garden.
I recovered what I could of it and cut my losses, throwing it into my project draw forever to gather dust.

Recently the other half pointed out about it and I've finally plucked up the courage to get going on it again.
While it's being rebuilt, I plan on doing it a lot better this time.
Many original parts weren't recovered or were chewed past the point of salvage being possible.

This time I plan on building it up a lot more with better looking weapons etc.

So, before tragedy struck:

And now he's what was salvaged:

Managed to glue a few bits back in the above pic, but not a lot
So, there's what I have to work with now.
Let's see if I can rebuild her

Good luck jackal! I admire your ambition to recover your project. I look forward to seeing the shape your new titan takes form. Are you planning on implementing any new kits?

Cheers Inspectahdeck.

Initial plan was to rebuild it as close as possible.
However, after a bit of thinking I decided to wanted to take it a lot further.

The original one was lacking a lot of gubbinz (hi tech terms) that would in theory, make it work.
Granted, something like this would never work, but this time I wanted to add chains, pullies, boiler system etc.
All stuff that would make it seem feesable as a working construction.

While I didn't really bother the first time, I've got the chance to get on with it this time as I'm building it back up.

Also wanted to change it weapon wise.
Being a Skryre construction it had to feature a lightning based weapon.
So one arm I plan on having as a large lightning cannon.

The other one I decided rockets.
Used to love the old doomrocket for engineers and used it every game.
This time I wanted to go a bit bigger however.

So far it's just a rough mock up of the rocket arm.
Needs a ton of work and the worky bits added, but it will get there.

So that's where I'm at so far.
Want to rebuild the main body next to a rough degree and get working on the lightning cannon.

Also tinkering with the idea of adding a few more crew to it.
Currently it's only the driver and a boiler guy, so may add a few more.

Good luck with the rebuild. As awesome as MKI was, I'm sure MKII will be better anyway

Well, I decided to substitute sleep for more modelling time with my friend Mr Daniels lol.
7 hours of tinkering with it and I've got the main structure together now.

The rocket arm is near complete.
Lightning cannon is also near complete.

Started on the boiler system.
Started on the main hull detail.
Legs are roughly in place but need loads done to them.

Still miles of work to go but Atleast the main shape is there now.

Rocket arm:

Main structure:

So, that's where I'm currently at with it.
Mainly having to detail, add struts, chains, pully systems etc.
Also working on a few more crew for it aswell.

She's slow, but she's making some progress.
