They realize they've got a bit of an uphill climb.

I have a friend that wants just this miniature "Kraan on Bear":

I told him I'd ask about it. Is there any benefit to his asking if he can get in on the kickstarter pledge manager? It looks to me like he'd have to pledge £25, as that level lists "Kraan on Bear", and the rules. I don't see any way to just get "Kraan on Bear" (which would be £20 instead of £25 including the rules).

Plus £2 to ship outside the UK, for a total of £27 through the Kickstarter.

On Mierce's website it is listed for £26.99, but I can't see what the shipping will cost outside of the UK.

So assuming the shipping cost to the US is more than a penny, I should tell him to ask them about getting in on the Kickstarter pledge manager while it lasts (4 more days) right?

Try contacting them and see what happens. Are you not in on the campaign Riptides?

It's a great mini, btw. I got it for Xmas!

That's the second time I've been called Riptides on here in a week

I am not in on it, and "friend" is not a euphemism here- it actually is my friend and not me who wants in on it . I sent him the info, though, and told him to try contacting them... if nothing else he can try ordering it direct (but it'd obviously be easier if they get a US distributor at some point).

The Kraan miniature is amazing. Simply amazing.

Sorry RiTides. Most people refer to me as Greywulf rather than greywulf... an annoyance of mine too.

Turns out the Warstore has it for less than what he would've had to pay through the Kickstarter after the quickstart rules and shipping (which effectively adds 7 pounds, making it 27 instead of 20).

$39... so I think he'll be going that route, instead.

Their owners have already done that once via MG so they can't run off with everyone's money again, I think that would be the end of their lot in the industry. They have a vast amount to prove to people in order to be even partially trusted again. Shame they didn't go down this route in the first place and everyone would still be happy.

How do you expect me to know what it is if you haven't painted it! Unpainted models are just proxies for the real thing

They didn't run off with my money. I got my MG Orders a few months late but I did get them.

Mahrdol, you should be careful. If you bring up the fact that you received your order from Maelstrom Games, you then bring up the issue again for everyone who didn't to comment.

In other words- if you want this thread to remain on-topic about Mierce's kickstarter, then don't bring up that you received models from Maelstrom Games, as you're inviting rebuttal by all those who were ripped off.

On topic- my friend placed his order at the Warstore, looking forward to seeing that giant bear in-person!

But it is ok for him to say everyone got screwed by MG Right? At least try to be neutral/non bias.

Just to add if my reply was off topic so was his. Fair is Fair.

For F sake... their updates are just brutally good :(

Okay guys, it's work in progress time and there's two newcomers to show you!

Firstly, let's have a look at how Glaun, Tarwdraig is progressing. Roberto's almost finished him and he's looking very brutal!

Next we have a new 'un, and Stéphane Simon is clearly very keen on sculpting the Drunes because Mawdred of Carn Dhu is already taking shape!

Benoît Cosse's Geraint Nerthol is looking very nice indeed:

Lastly, the Druc concept should be ready for you by tomorrow, we'll keep you updated.

Hope you like them all chaps!

Damn, I did not get Glaun in the end but that is now going to change! Its lucky they increased the last day for extras until the morning of the 11th, as I have more GW selling on ebay and finishing on Sunday.

Nice, I missed that they extended it. I offloaded some magic cards to pay for mine but the funds are annoyingly slow to clear, this should make it a sure thing.

I really want to see a finished concept of the Meat Hulk before ordering, though I've been impressed with all of their offerings.

Damn, Mawdred looks awesome. Stephane Simon's stuff is brilliant. I have passed on Druc as I don't really like the concept all that much.

These look great. It will be very interesting to continue follow all the different WIPs to bring this KS to an end.

Awesome stuff - all these models make me wish I'd thrown more money at them. Glaun and Geraint in particular look ace.

You can still throw more money at it Just log in on their page and spend money money money money. Up until next monday you'll have that chance and the reduced prices.

That Claun monster is only 34 pounds at the moment and will easily be ~50 pounds later on. !

You can ask them to combine the shipping so you won't pay extra.

With the miniature being such high quality, I really hope the quickstart rules, then finally the rule book does this line proud. Could be a dreadful waste with unplayable rules.

@Denilsta: I don't agree. The miniatures stand for themselves. Even with bad rules, the miniatures by themselves are epic. So there aren't any going to waste with them.

What I meant was a waste of potential, the miniature are amazing and I own quite a few from the old Maelstrom days, but with figures this good and amazing rules to back it up, well that's just a licence to print money!

Does anyone know if the inclusion of the werebear character will increase shipping times? I'd like to get my stuff in April if possible.
