It's all going to depend on what you're after,

several of the starters won't be done by April, nor will most of the new add on minis

Update on WIP / finished Trolls and Minotaurs (5 all-but complete monstrous minis) I really like the trolls and the new minotaurs look as good as the previous few.

As usual, they look amazing!

I can't deny that the trolls look that little bit more crisp and dynamic than the minotaurs (can't expect anything less from Allan Carrasco, further cementing his rep as one of the greatest in the fantasy / sci-fi minis industry) but still I much prefer the concept and overall aesthetic of beastman type models.

Really nice Duguth, the shields look thick as car tires - but I love the rest.

"Much Better than GW" Minotaurs - although the last one suffer (again) from "Real Bad Hand Positioning TM" making it look like he/she is holding a fan :(
Perhaps nitpicking - but for us who actually use cutting weapons on a daily basis, this is as bad as a miniature holding an assault rifle upside down...

Im going to have to find a use for this chap i think !

I see what you mean but I think the hand positioning is fine, its fantasy an all that afterall.
How do you know that a beast man thing holds and uses his cutting weapons the same as you ?

I'd got the mental image that he'd just finished a swipe from his right to left, and hadn't adjusted his grip for the next strike yet - but I'll admit to being no weapons expert.

Fact remains, if you have to adjust your grip you're doing it wrong (and will probably not live to make a second strike)...


You could try a few swings yourself, using a broom handle or similar - with your knuckles in opposite direction - and you will realize that somebody with such a faulty grip is totally harmless (and will hurt themselves more than an opponent).
I is not as if the grip is somewhat wrong, it is *totally* wrong - making it physically impossible to make any attack (perhaps a clumsy kind of poking one would work?).

If somebody modelled a baseball or hockey player with the same grip everyone would understand how bad it is.
Now it's perhaps just we who are used to seeing two handed CC weapons in action who react - so I guess it's not a big deal (?).

Still sloppy by the sculptor though (not doing his/her homework), two minutes in front of a mirror doing test swings would solve the issue permanently.


This said. I still love the newest Mierce stuff.
Way better than much of their previous work.

Maybe he's represented AFTER making a blow , so the weapon started moving on his right part and ends movement on his leg.

All these latest sculpts are absolutely gorgeous. Seems like this ks was exactly what Mierce needed to get back on their feet. The trolls are especially impressive!

Do we really need yet another discussion about how the giant half cow man has the wrong grip on his huge axe to realistically attack his giant half dragon man opponent?

LOL ... Ok big boy ... light us with your amazing fighting and anatomy skills

The sculptor did fine, in fact he did better than fine so far, that sculpt looks ace and i dont think realism came into the equation anywhere along the line, and rightly so in my opinion.

The pose makes some sense if it's mid-parry doesn't it?

Can we all just agree that Kendoka is the coolest badass in the room and drop it?

The sculptor did not make an error, he made an artistic decision,
He decided, it looked better that way.
That is ALL that matters.

What if the Minotaur's wrists can swivel freely?
What if the weapon is able to twist in the middle..

For a second I thought you had a seizure while typing....then I realized I was in the mierce thread would love to see pics, especially the way they packaged the new stuff.

I am really regretting not going for the early shipping option on this. I have a huge order in and thought a staggered distribution would be good….looking at some of the amazing pics on MM’s forum I was wrong, I want the stuff now!

Can you not add early shipping now after the fact? Seems like something they could / should be able to work out for you if you wanted to pay for the shipping now.

Just contact them, I'm sure they'll be happy to let you pay the little extra for 'ship what's available now

I went a bit mad on this KS, there is definately stuff that can come early. I will send a message, just thought with the KS pledge manager finally closed it was to late, but I can't ever see MM turning down money!

Anyone know how big these trolls might be?? They are soooo badass looking. River trolls in my goblin army?? yes please..

the troll 'Vortun' (part of the same unit as these three) is shown in the Norse section and is 104mm to the top of his weapon (about 70-80 cm to the top of the head it looks like)

@kendoka, my grasp of anatomy is fine thank you i have an MSc in Biomedical science, which has included many anatony moduals. There could be any number of movements that would either start or end in this position, but the fact remains its a fantasy model so who cares, dont like it dont buy it
