An island or aircraft carrier sounds good. The entire place can be a tutorial of sorts like the current sanc's.

The sign in hall would need to be bigger than the one from the old sanc though, it seemed to be running out of space.

I like the island- a lot more natural and such.

I was thinking slightly less of a natural look to the island. Stone brick exterior walls, with a few wood slab buildings inside (for the portal, for instance) and a dirt/sand layer outside (a beach etc).

I like the oil rig heavily industrialised idea, lots of iron blocks and iron railings on huge stone supports.

Plus that means the boat fleet can be placed around it.

You'd want to have it be a protected area if you did that, so people didn't harvest the starting area for easy iron...

Starting area's always protected, after a while, anyways.

Sorry if there's confusion on this. I said I wouldn't copy structures from the current map to within 500 blocks of 0,0. However once the new world starts, you're all more than welcome to build in that area. We just wanted to start afresh without having everything copied to the centre of the map.

There is a "no build" area at the spawn 33x33 blocks in size. I will build in that area to make sure the spawn is safe and people do not drown etc. You're welcome to build around it of course and I'd also be happy to work with people to make the 33x33 protected area match the surrounding area.

But first I have to get the world ready of course :-)

I'm currently looking at switching to the seed "dakka" rather than "DAKKA", as the spawn point still resets, but doesn't go to an ocean floor and also doesn't go to 1600 blocks away.

I'm just going to make sure there's nothing wrong with the world and if all's well I'll start populating it with the structures that were requested. Sorry to those that provided coords for the old seed, I'll try to match them as best I can (or you can go have a look again if you have the inclination).

On dakka there is a huge desert around x=-660 z=880 so can wolfs pyramid be moved to around there? preferably near the sea.

Yep. Any coords you can provide will help me get things done faster, but otherwise I will just try to match the requested biomes and/or landscape.

Arguably, I like "dakka" better. I already found two villages and the starting area is near an ocean and not in a swamp.

The dakka seed also has much larger biomes than DAKKA, the desert biome I mentioned is at very least 300*300 blocks and there are several large swamp biomes (I'm going to make an abandonned house in a swamp sometime, around the size of vinnies château).

Hm. So gold is now a renewable resource. Awesome.. I suggest we begin making gold pillars and statues

This saddens my golden bed, though I did have to take some from it anyway.

For those who don't know what I mean, zombie pigmen now also drop gold nuggets, which can be made in to gold bars in a 9:1 ratio. This means there's now three weapon/tool types thet are infinitely renewable (wood, stone, and gold).

Seeing as the world is infinite in size surely all materials are renewable?

Gold did just get a lot more common though.

I'm willing to trade some resources for a block of Mycelium (can only be obtained through a silk touch tool) a pumpkin seed (one pumpkin block = 4 seeds), and/or a melon seed (can only be obtained through an abandoned mineshaft chest or turning a melon slice in to a seed), when the world starts off again.

We have plenty of pumpkin and melon you can have, mycelium I'll have to hunt for.
