Just asking, how do casualties, especially ones that weren't main characters but rank and file troops, affect your force? I'm not talking major losses of entire masques, but like 7 guys for instance. Bit of a nooby question but would be very grateful for an answer.

Losing even one person is a blow to me - losing seven is a significant defeat. It's why I'm going to start being more careful about what I do and making less overt military actions and more sneaky shenanigans with lower risk-factors.

Nothing is low risk when your dealing with TS.

It seems my good luck with the dice rolls keeps on going, no losses during the banquet. A pretty good showing for the hounds all things considered. Right now that the banquet is over i have no excuse not to write something. Something will go up from me over the weekend, pinky promise

No effect on anything bar the narrative as far as I know. It may incur some negative modifiers if you lose a load of men or try to do something that would be super difficult with a handful of guys (ie, ten guys holding a barren hill against an Astartes company), but you should be good. To my knowledge, any set losses should be percentage based, not individual based, so that the losses are even for each force.

I have to agree with TS here. In terms of everything, the Nob caught the Scions unaware and off guard. You can't really expect them to be battle ready and prepared to fight in a ceremonial event. They're good, but seeing as veteran Space Marines with centuries of experience were unable to deal with that Nob, you shouldn't feel shortchanged. Truth is, no matter how well trained the Scions are, they're not nearly as tough as an Astartes, and their exceptional training would be wasted considering that they're unprepared for combat.

And to be honest, you *did* roll a defeat. Just not a huge one.

First post up. Not as long as some of the others but as a first post, I think its okay. Chosen not to go with play script as it might just get a bit bland after a bit with just speech and action, though I may do the occasional one in play script.
