Server is not ready yet, but note that there is a very annoying bug in Minecraft 1.0, when you try to join a server you often get:
"The server responded with an invalid key"

I have found the best solution to this is to just keep trying the "Direct Connect" option with the IP address (not web2.dakkadakka.com) - 178.63.68.200

Yes, I will PM coords around. I am also generating a map (but limited to 2000 block radius). The map may have to wait till tomorrow though.

I got really excited when I saw the server up, but the aforementioned not-whitelisted-thing prevented me from joining.

Server is now 1.0 and open to all whitelisted players!

So apparently my door is having issues. If you happen across my house, please don't play with it (unless you fix it )

They changed some redstone behaviour slightly if I recall correctly. You may need to read the wiki for any changes.

I'm not entirely sure how the Nether system will work, but my place is rather close to the 0,0 portal, so I built a small shelter nearby. Hope this won't get in the way of people's grand plans.

On a related note, Magma Slimes are scary if you're not used to surprise attacks in the relatively-safe Nether.

New map looks pretty good, not gone far from the spawn yet.

If my house is too close to the spawn point let me know and I'll knock it down.

Vinnie, I found your place. Scary stuff. Nice big NPC village near it as well, with what looks like a ravine under the surface!

Mountain near the manor gives a nice overview of it.
