Me again.

I've got some spare Heavy Bolters and Autocannons (for IG Heavy Weapon Teams), but lack the gunner models to go with them.

Instead, I'd like to try and model them as auto-turrets. Any advice for how I could go about this? I'm trying to think how to best give the impression that they're automated/self-targeting - as opposed to just being the guns without the gunners.

Any suggestions?

Ofc that would require having some spare tripods.

Otherwise you could try making a smaller version of the FW tarantula turret that will fit on a 60mm base, stick the ammo box to the side, see if you have some spare sights like those on the razorback or quadgun that comes with the adl.

(I'm now really tempted to do this myself, as I've got plenty of spare heavy weapons).

I used the terminator homing beacon thingy as the basis for my autoturrets.

Flinty, those are great! I have a few of those termy homing beacons laying around too. Appreciate the sharing there!
